The cedarific weighs about 1/2 what the same amount of any clumping litter weighs, and about 1/4 of what any clay (clumping or not) litter weighs. So if you're trying to go for less weight, the cedarific would work better for you... unless you flush your scoopable, you wouldn't want to flush
