Well, as I've had to deal with that question a lot, and as I'm a
bonafide nerd, I think Shawn pointed it out pretty well.
However, Star Wars has a few more differences, and I don't mean tech
ones either, although there're a plenty of those.
Star Trek is more closely based on scientific discovery

Hmmm Alfredo, that's a rather odd question, it's sort of like asking what
the difference is betwene an oak tree and a palm tree? other than both
being trees, they don't really have too much in common, and the same is true
here.
Both are scifi but don't have that much in common either.
Hi Phil,
Sounds like a plan. Especially, hopefully by then my cross-platform
engine will be up and running and I could release it for multiple
platforms at once.
Smile.

Hi Dakotah,
Actually, there are about 9 Star Wars movies in all if you count the
two Ewaq films that take place following events in Return of the Jedi
where Wikit and the other Ewaqs have their own full motion
adventures. The two movies are the Ewaq Adventure and the Battle for
Endore.
Yep tom, that is true, i'm actually quite a fan of the two ewok films.
i remember seeing both when i was quite young about 8 or 9. now, i have both
on dvd along with the six main starwars films, and their stil highly worth
watching, - especially the 1st, which almost seems like a ewok
Hi Alfredo,
As many people have already stated the difference between Star Wars
and Star Trek is very very different. Totally different in approach
and the kind of story the author wanted to present to his audience.
Beyond the fact they are both classified science fiction they are very

Hi Dark,
Definitely. I loved the Ewok movies as a kid. I had a number of toys
that went along with them including a large stuffed Ewok, several Ewok
action figures, and the Ewok village playset that was made for ROTJ
and the Ewok movies.
Which reminds me. Since this is suppose to be about games
Hi tom.
Actually i had a bunch of the ewok stuff myself, especially the figures and
the village.
I also remember the animated ewok's series which along with droids was the
first Starwars cartoon, both of which I was a huge fan of. Sadly though
they've only released selected episodes on dvd
to bits
with that. LOL.

Hi Daren,
There are two full length animated movies called Star Wars the Clone
Wars part I and Star Wars the Clone Wars Part II. That would give you
10 movies in all. You'd have 8 live action films and two animated
movies. Although, for some reason Lucasfilm doesn't count the Ewok
movies or the
Hi Dark,
Yeah, the Super Star Wars games were really great. I don't know about
you, but that sounds like a great idea for a future
project now that I've got a really decent game engine. You can see
what MOTA can do, and once I get the cross-platform version up and

Wow I would like to see the ewok movies. I have never saw them before.

it was the ewok gliders I always rather liked actually Tom.
not only great for dropping rocks, but in the films and animated series you
actually get to see them do a lot of other things, like putout fires by
dropping wet sheets from above, or using the gliders to survey the forest.

Wow. They really ripped off the old SNES games for leggo star wars.
That droid rescue plot's the same.
I had no idea about the Ewaq films. Curses, foiled again by Lucasfilms
and being 23. I'll have to look them up. I really wish I could get my
hands on some of the stuff like the cartoons you guys
Hi,
Come to think of it that sounds like a good idea. Perhaps I'll look
for the dvds and give the Ewok Adventure and Battle for Endore a good
listen tonight. My son likes those movies and it has been a long time
since we had them out and watched them.
As for getting them on home video/dvd I
Hi Dakotah,
Yeah, that's the classic 80's for you. Both the Ewok movies and the
Ewok Adventure cartoons came out around 1985. Just after Return of the
Jedi came out and concluded the original saga. The Ewok adventures
were suppose to continue the Star Wars saga after Return of the Jedi,
but I

What's Jedi Strike? If you are talking about the Star Wars games I've
been planning on working on none of them are called Jedi Strike. Not
sure where you got that idea from.

Hi Dark,
Yeah, i know about the changes in plot in the Super Star Wars games.
That's really one major drawback to basing a game on a specific book
or movie. A lot of times there are certain events that wouldn't fit
well into a game, and need to be changed to fit better with the game's
story

Hmmm different universes and characters races, etc.
One major difference is the force startrek doesn't have that.
there are no borg or any startrek like races in starwars.
There is no earth in starwars its more generic.
I guess the empire could be what the dark mirror universe was.
So I guess you
