thinking is obviously flawed here as it doesn't quite work.
here is how I am calling the script:
gimp -b '(script-fu-automated-resize 1 200 200
/export/home/matt/toprocess/Imagein.jpg
/export/home/matt/toprocess/Imageout.jpg)' '(gimp-quit 0)'
The script takes in a height, width, beginning image
for several days now so I am open to any
suggestions.

Change it from an indexed image to an RGB image.
On the tool bar: Image Mode RGB
You can also add an alpha channel. In the Layers dialogue, Right Click the
layer and choose Add Alpha Channel.
When you're finished you can flatten the image again and convert back to
indexed.

have GTK2 installed, so there shouldn't be any conflict.
Still, I'd suggest doing a dry run in a fresh install directory, just to
make sure you're not going to overwrite anything important.

I'm trying to import a multiple page PDF and do some editing. I'm able
to import a single page, add layers, edit, etc - but having a problem
