Must be really bad or Valve would have came out with a update by now.

I was just making the point that I believe VALVe relies on the replies
of people like this to make the issue minor instead of major. It is
people that say "Hey, relax guy. They are working on it" that makes the
people who complain feel stupid and "n00b". Let us not forget that these

Seeing if anyone else is noticing this...
The players on my server are reporting that they are all starting with 1600
in cash instead of the default 800 on CS: Source. I dbl-checked the cvar
setting in my server.cfg file and by checking how that value was set in the
server console - both come back

If you have a problem with the update then run the update tool again.
There is a bug with the update process causing some files to be deleted,
running the tool again will cause them to be re-downloaded.

It's not.

If anyone at Valve has an answer they speak up right away.
If they don't ... They are quite.
They don't have an answer for VAC and never will.
MP is dead unless you do a private LAN event or set a server password.

Everyone calm down
All you need is a unique email to get a steam ID.
There are millions of free email services and each hacker probably has a
thousand emails from many of them.
Once you get the steam ID you add your old WON key ... Walla ...
Only way to fix it is to disallow WON CD Keys.
Valve can't do this.
So
One thing that could be done is to send a periodic email once a month to
each steam account's email address and if no one responds ... Delete the
account.
