I use a standard OS PDS with the "install instructions". JCL/JOBS are
stored in the "install: datasets' PDF's for doc are loaded to a standard
"LAN" directory. I (personally) use the web for most doc lookups, but I
also have the doc on the LAN if needed.

IIRC on a traditional *NIX system, /etc/passwd contains the password in clear
text.
The act of giving the auditor a copy (hardcopy or other) would be an audit
violation.
Of course the fact that this is a VM system (which does not have /etc/passwd)

SMP/E will not receive a USERMOD, APAR or PTF SYSMOD for an FMID that is
not defined to the GLOBAL zone (rejected as NOT APPLICABLE).
I believe the above statement is incorrect.
SMP/E will receive anything in the SMPPTFIN file unless
the SELECT(fmidset) operand is specefied. Ref. SMP/E Comman
z/990 exploit code runs just fine on a z/800. No worries.
