Like iOS, I understand that to uninstall an app downloaded via the Mac App
Store, one should hold down on an app's icon until all the apps start to
jiggle, then click on the the delete (X) button to uninstall it. How do you do
this with VoiceOver? I feel silly, but I can't find an
simpler than that. Find the app in the Applications folder then
press command-delete to move to trash.

VoiceOver's find command didn't work in Safari. You can now reliably find text
with VO in Safari. There still appears to be a problem trying to read text
attributes in Safari as the VO+T command does not appear to function.
Yes, agreed. When using Boot Camp, Windows has complete control of the keyboard
so the caps lock key works absolutely fine for screen reading commands. The
only issues would be when using software like Fusion or VMWare to run Windows

I’d be tempted to simply back up your data, erase the hard drive, then
reinstall from scratch, making sure you are careful and selective when
restoring from your backup. You only want to restore personal files like
documents and music, but not applications, preference files or anything of that
for doing this? does anybody know? please advise, thank

The method you’re using is perfectly reasonable. However, you can easily have
multiple Finder windows. To open a new Finder window, press COMMAND+N. To cycle
through open windows in an application, including the Finder, press
COMMAND+GRAVE or COMMAND+SHIFT+GRAVE to move in the opposite
No worries about manually updating drivers. All necessary updates from Apple
are installed from the App Store, under the Updates tab. Alternatively, you can
choose whether or not you’d like these OS X updates to be automatically
installed by opening System Preferences and selecting the App
Do you have an iOS device? If so, there's an app in the iOS App Store that
purports to teach you Swift in an interactive manner. It may be worth checking

Installing Windows is best done with sighted help, if you want to go the Boot
Camp route, as there is no audio. While one could try to memorize the
keystrokes or refer to a cheat sheet of the key sequence, I wouldn’t want to
risk doing this myself. I suppose one could try to work out some sort
Ironically, when the JAWS Speech and Sounds Manager came to be back in JAWS 5.0
for Windows, I used to think it was a bug that JAWS *wouldn’t* take a pause
while sounds were playing. In JAWS, the speech goes on over top of all sounds.
However, as I continued to get used to the JAWS behaviour I
