Did you actually download 1.0rc1? You only said you tried to download it. And if you do mean OSX and Universal you are still at the installer package level. Have you actually installed MPlayer? It's only after installation that you can start drilling down to the Unix mplayer. -- danco

and mplayer_noaltivec. So for an Intel machine, just take mplayer_intel, put it in the right place, and rename it to mplayer. As bpa says, if you can make the executables accessible that would be helpful. I thought mplayer.sh was normally executable unless things got screwed up. -- danco

Problem is actually that I have a repeat Airport Base station. SB works fine even though making two hops (main base station is connected by ehternet). Problem is that in the course of changing computers the second base station got knocked out, and I haven't got it working yet. -- danco

I think it may be time for someone who is more knowledgable to look at my AlienBBC instructions, and add details about the versions of mplayer needed for different Macs, 10.3, 10.4 on PowerMacs, 10.4 on Intel Macs. I only mentioned the version for 10.4 on PowerMacs. -- danco

Don't forget that the BBC is having problems with Listen Again at present so if you weren't listening live you may not be able to get the program you want. Though that should show up with the menu items being missing. -- danco

If you use a Web browser to go to the BBC site, you will see a message 'We are having severe technical problems with Radio Player which are affecting availability. They must be really severe as the message has been there for several days. This appplies to all channels. -- danco

SlimServer works, rather than a plugin issue. That is, perhaps pressing Stop on the remote actually causes SlimServer to issue a Play command followed by a Stop command. Perhaps someone can confirm or refute this thought. -- danco
