I'm not seeing any title/artist info or art for the Jazzradio.fr stations. Is that expected? Also, while I'm on, in Material Skin (not checked anything else) I'm seeing RNP's top list of stations running in an initial chunk alphabetically (80s/90s to Zog), then four stragglers, then a second alpha run (BigFM to Whisperings), and one final straggler (Cesky Rozhlas). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Doing a little research, it seems that Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music, at least, all have the facility to make playlist folders. So evidently there is a demand for something that, in Spotify, I find a very useful feature for organising what over time can become quite a bevy of playlists, and I'd still love to be able to use something similar in Qobuz. I'm guessing that if the Qobuz plugin via LMS/Material isn't going to have this facility any time soon, then it might need to happen natively in Qobuz's own app. A little more fishing around, though, gives me the impression that Qobuz are not overly responsive to user feedback and feature requests. Has anyone here had any experience of asking Qobuz for new features? whitman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Im trying Qobuz for a free month. Previously only used Spotify for streaming. Im primarily attracted by Qobuzs hi-res content. Im using it with the Qobuz plugin on LMS and Material Skin. Two questions: 1. How do I change the order that my Fvourited albums appear? They default to date-added order, but I want alphabetical by artist, as offered in the Qobuz app. Depsite thast being my choden option in the Qobuz app, the LMS plugin does not offer this as far as I can see. Am I missing a way to do this? 2. How can I make folders within the Playlists secion? I use them a lot in Spotify, and for me theyre really useful to organise that section. Without them, I have a very long and unruly set of playlists. I originally posted my query here https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?116047-iPeng-and-Playback-on-MacOS%97stream-problem but I suspect I should have asked here. So Im running iPeng on my MacBook Air M1 and using the Playback facility to make it a player. But I have a problem with it crashing when I try to play certain radio streams. (I should add that I can play any and every one of these streams perfectly well using iPeng with Playback on iOS devices, like my iPhone or iPad. All my 44.1 kHz streams play perfectly (for example Europa Jazz). The 48 kHz streams do not play (for example D-Dur Classical), nor does a 96 kHz one (Mother Earth). They do not play and they crash iPeng. The behaviour seems to be that when I play one of these higher-rate streams, it will instantly jump to a point a minute or two into the stream, and start counting down as if playing, but with no audio. The controls in iPeng for pause etc are frozen; it's crashed. Really frustrating! A responder at the other thread suggested setting LMSs Streaming Method to Proxied under Player/Settings/Audio, but that made no difference. On the laptop, in Audio MIDI Setup I have my headphone output set to 96kHz 2ch 32-bit Float, which is the highest possible. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng Playback + iPad + headphones
Thanks Paul and Jim for further advice. Still thinking my way through, as for me this counts as a potentially big investment, so I want to consider as many alternatives as poss. So, I do have an M! MacBook Air (2020). I imagine using that would eliminate the need for the camera adapter for the iPad. I have a spare USB3USB adaptor I could use on one of the laptop's Thunderbolt/USB4 jacks. Presumably a Dragonfly DAC would work connected to that? I do have iPeng working on the laptopit's an M1 version, and most iOS/iPadOS apps work on itso that side of it is covered. Mind you, despite all that, I wonder how good the laptop's internal DAC is, via the 3.5 headphone out? whitman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115978 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng Playback + iPad + headphones
I'm thinking of getting some headphones to use for LMS, and I'm looking into iPeng's Playback facility to do this. (This is the iPeng add-on that effectively turns an iPhone or iPad into an LMS/Squeezebox player.) The iPad I'd use is a mini 4. I believe the out from iPeng through the headphone jack on that would be good enough to make for a reasonably high quality noise. Correct? I'm considering the well-rated Grado SR80x cans, which have an impedance of about 35 ohms. I'm assuming they're OK for the iPad to drive without assistance as I have a cheap pair of about 32 ohms that seem OK through that route. Anyone using a similar setup with advice or comments? (Wasn't sure exactly where to post this, but figured iPeng = software probably closest.) whitman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115978 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alternatives to spotify / spotty?
Jaca, that's interesting. Now I see that I can indeed add folders to Spotify's Playlists! In the official Spotify app on my desktop Mac, if I right-click on an existing Playlist in the sidebar on the left, there's an option to Create Folder, which I'd completely missed. It's easy from there to make folders and sub-folders and organise stuff in a way that (for my purposes, at least) is much more efficient. Good! I can then see the new folders I've made in LMS in a browser UI on the same desktop, rather more usefully in Material than the regular skin. But neither seems to allow me to make new folders. And in iPeng on my iPhone, again any new folders made on the Spotify app are now visible but there's no obvious way (to me) to make new ones there. Sorry if this is a touch off-topic here. Later, when/if the dust settles on the Spotify debate, I'll maybe make a new thread about the folder business. whitman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115850 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
Paul, a couple of stations that I listen to regularly on LMS do not show album art (at least not on the links I use, which I believe are the best quality available in each case). First is Jazz24, which for my taste is one of the better jazz stations. I have this link in my Favourites... https://live.wostreaming.net/direct/ppm-jazz24aac256-ibc1 The other is Swiss Classic, again a good station in my view, and accessed from this link in my Favourites... http://www.radioswissclassic.ch/de/live/aacp.m3u Is there any scope for getting art (and indeed album info) with some help from you and your excellent Radio Now Playing? My enquiry is intended to see if there is some way to stream those higher-res Apple Music files, somehow, from an Apple device to my DAC32. But if the only way is via shairtunes, and that tops out at 44/16, so be it. whitman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
Ive been wondering about giving Apple Music a whirl, and I planned to use shairtunes to stream it via Airplay from my Mac laptop or my iPad to my DAC32. (I have my Mac mini running LMS on the same network.) But Ive seen some debate online questioning if Airplay can deliver Apple Musics hi-res files, with a consensus suggesting that it cant. This has rather put me off, as it was the hi-res stuff at a relatively good price that attracted me.
