I gather not - at least this is what I was told by Protel. On
I had the same experience, for whatever reason, my computer was having
intermittent hardware problems that would give the Microsoft message box

Not this.
If you go to the Design Menu and select Netlist Manager there is a button
labeled "Menu" in the lower left corner. Click that and then select "Update
Free Primitives From Component Pads" and that will update all unassigned
primitives (tracks, vias, etc.).
Beware that if there are any misconnect

Well this is wierd. Yesterday Protel worked fine. Today I start it up
Open the file Client99SE.ini in your Windows directory with any text editor.
At the very end should be a section that is labelled: [Servers] followed by a
list of servers with the path to their associated .ins file.
For example:

The current SDK is compatible only with Delphi D5. This is because the interface to
Protel is provided as a precompiled runtime package that is compiler specific. The
entry level Delphi 5 package should be sufficient for most
kinds of Protel server development. Check the Borland web site for

It should. It is pos
Rene,
it is certainly possible to do using the Netlist Manager.
Design Menu, Netlist Manager, on the Menu in the bottom left, select "Update
Free Primitives From Component Pads".
This will update all unassigned tracks, fills, polygons, etc. according to
the netlist names for the existing
I'm fairly certain that doing Design | Netlist Manager, then Menu | "Update
free primitives from component pads" will do what you want.
The synchronizer checkbox works when the relevant nets are being changed (at
the same time) through the synchronizer.

I have made a 20 pin version that I have used successfully. You can scale
it easily.

If Delphi 6 is going to work, the personal version is sufficient.
You cannot write commercial software with it and some database
stuff is missing.

There has been some discussion of library management. While I don't have
the time at the moment to go into much detail, I have given a fair amount
of thought to how a cooperative user library might be organized. A little
of this has previously been described on this list.
But the bottom line i

I missed the start of this thread but surely a production/stores department
would refer to a component by an unique number - they wouldn't put a 50V
capacitor in the same bin as a 5V one. The answer then is to use the unique
number and pull the rest in from that.

What ever match, boolean or wildcard rules you add to your server, somebody
will find
somthing that is wrong with it.
As it is, it probably works for most of the people that want to use it. (I'm
going to try it
myself at some point.)
