Depending on what you have available, you could switch the audio coming
from the unit off prior to dropping the carrier of the tx. This would
allow your decoder to stop and eliminate squelch noise.

I use EMR corp "Z-matchers" to fix these problems encountered with AMP
to antenna, etc. Re-tuning a duplexer as stated below will not help
your match very much. I have great success with line matchers.

The RG11 that I have has "quad shield" foil, braid, foil, braid if I
remember correctly, Its not too bad if brought in from above the unit.
On one set I have it going to a splitter and then to two RG6QS jumpers
that go to the cable modem and the cable box.

Yes you can! Mine receives at 446.550, and transmits at 441.550. If you
receive below 444, chances are that the receive performance won't be as
good as it should be.
To program it, hold down the shift key and type in the frequency (let up
on the shift key while typing the decimal).

We have been experimenting with building CTCSS Units using the 567 Tone Chip
and good components, i.e. Caps, multi turn pots etc. The stability is not good
in my opinion. We will set it to 107.2 and the next time you check it is off
enough to where it won't decode until it is re-tuned
