Hi all,
We've been using alembic quite successfully with exocortex's plugins,
Max/XSI and Maya - but as they all have alembic now in 2015...
I was wonder what people's experiences have been? How many people acutally
use alembic? And which...
Cheers!

The closest I've got to referencing materials is making compounds and
updating them if I've made any changes. Not quite the same but handy.

Excuse my ignorance, but is this the kind of thing that could be achieved
if one could write a custom c++ node? There are quite a few small nodes
like that in em_tools - Maybe it's beyond the API though..

I was talking about exocortex's alembic for xsi by the way - native
alembic in C4D I think?
This is the job I meant, we mostly moved around cameras and particles
http://analogstudio.co.uk/work/meridian I forget now even which shots are
C4D and which are xsi (and which are max) ;)

example up to 4 but could be longer!) It also angles them randomly at 0 or
