Has anyone used the AAC audio encoder for Avid Free DV? I have to use this horrible software to get a mov produced. I am seriously buying QuickTime, but haven't yet. I don't see AAC listed in the audio encoding options and I've tried several of th ones that are listed and sometimes I get

The only way to get access (that I know of) to the AAC codec on a PC is to purchase QuickTime Pro. Also, even when you purchase it, many PC apps don't show you all the QT export options. It seems you're usually best off making a DV-AVI file and then using QT to compress it. That's what I've
