On my Win7 machine, SVN revision 6662 on the development branch builds
the Debug target correctly (with JTSDK version 2.0.4-1), but the Release

Hi Bill,
I have been having the same issue trying to work T31EU on FT8. From my

I followed your suggested procedure:
In an MSYS shell:-
mkdir ~/hamib-prefix
cd ~/hamlib-prefix
git clone git://git.code.sf.net/u/bsomervi/hamlib src
cd src
git
-${CPACK_SYSTEM_NAME}
Which is what sets the the output file name I believe.
That is correct but the definitive source information is in
Versions.cmake in the source directory.
In any case, I've updated jtsdk-cmake.bat, will post it to SVN shortly.

The only complaint issued by any of the scripts is this one from the
JTSDK-QT command build wsjtx package
Qt has in the way of launching a default
web browser in a portable fashion.
While I'm at it, nit-picking: since the manual's name is WSJT-X User
Guide, we should change the Help menu item Online User's Guide to
read Online User Guide.
Yes.
Bill, are you going to commit the change with a box

Hi Bill and Greg,
As you recognized, the procedure I went through installed the newly
built hamlib files, but not in the places I had expected. My mistake.
I have now changed the --prefix=... part of the command that invokes
autogen.sh

Should the installation packages for wsjtx-1.4.0-rc1 include the
latest-and-greatest version of the WSJT-C User Guide? It's online at
http://www.physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT/wsjtx-doc/wsjtx-main.html

Hi Bill, Joe,
Hi Greg,
I did some testing with this today. I Downloaded Installed (unzipped):
http://hivelocity.dl.sourceforge.net/project/mingwbuilds/external-binary-packages/msys%2B7za%2Bwget%2Bsvn%2Bgit%2Bmercurial%2Bcvs-rev13.7z
I used this version
. There are implications for the platforms other than Windows.
There will be at least one more commit for Linux packaging and one for
Mac also I expect.

Hi Joe,
RR Bill, thanks for the update.
OK, I think I'm done.
The Linux package building is still short of making compliant packages
but at least some sort of package (DEB and RPM) can be generated which
will at least install and run from in system

OK, I think I'm
(branches/wsjtx) to v1.5.0 and it is fine to
commit new features and bugfixes not deemed to be serious enough to
change v1.4 to this. As far as the main line is concerned, v1.4 is history.

Thanks for posting a clear statement of correct repository procedures
going forward.
All seems OK to me, except possibly for your parenthetical statement
one day we really need to move this to trunk.
We can't do this unless we give up

Hi Greg,
I just want to make sure I understand all this now. If we use the
standard branch head for WSJTX, that is now being called wsjtx v1.5?
Yes, actually wsjtx-1.5.0-rc1.
And to pull WSJTX-1.4.0-RC1, we use:
svn co https://svn.code.sf.net
