If they did the skull invasion like in the Ultimates (the comic, not the watered down animated feature), that would be teh Awesome!

i'm with ya. Skrulls, meh. I mean you can make a cosmic invasion film, and
that can be great, but that isn't what the Avengers really is...at least it
isn't to me.

Iron Man stories seemed to hint at Mandarin. But a dude with 10 rings that
have magical powers seems...lame. Not too sure where it will go, but i have
high hopes!

I did not know about the rewrite. Interesting.

I can't see introducing the Infinity Gauntlet on the heels of the
Cosmic Cube/Tesseract (as it is called in Captain America,
apparently). One super artifact should be enough.

I could see using the Skrulls, I guess. I never really liked them.
But I can see a movie where Nick Fury has the Avengers work together
because SHIELD has found out that high ranking officials are being
replaced with Skrulls with the intent of obtaining the Cube in order
to openly invade the Earth. Skrulls just don't seem like a good foe
for Thor. Iron Man, alright, I can give you that. Maybe they have
super ray guns or something which can damage the armor. But Skrulls
can't stand up to Thor, especially as he was portrayed in the movie.

I guess they're a better choice than the Space Phantom.

Honestly, my favorite Avengers villain is Kang and I know we won't get
him.
