Why don't you post the item link, which is 1/3rd the length of the bid link.

Or are you trolling for people to outbid your friend?

I was talking to the Vilvan people yesterday and he asked if I knew anyone
who may be interested in some of these tire close out specials. The Toyo's
Proxis T1S down near the bottom of this message are the shaved World
Challenge tires from last season (before they switched to real R compound
tires). Please direct all inquries to Vilvan Tire. The address and phone

Subject: E36 electronic climate control - fan to 50% only
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I'm trying to diagnose a 1997 E36 M3/4 with a fan that will only
blow air to about halfway up the display. I can notice a change
in air speed and pitch of the fan up to about 50%, and beyond
that there is no change.

The manual shows a resistor pack - is this the best place to
start? Any diagnosis tips? I'm hoping it's not the control
unit, as I seem to recall they are expensive.

Thanks!

The final stage unit is a highly suspect part in these cars.

It's the part you referred to as a resistor pack.

If I recall correctly, it's on the left side of the heater box in the E36.

I've been under there for a good 30 minutes with no dice. The
only thing in the same place as depicted in the manual appears to
be another part. Cross-referencing this against
advancebmwparts.com, it appears to be what they call the Blower
Motor Resister with Climate Control Final Stage Unit.

I'll probably order one up and hope it does the trick.

Thanks!

Steam distilling and filtering are distinct processes.

I was recently driving the ti when an errant piece of retreaded truck
tire was thrown into my lane. I wound up hitting it with the right front
corner of the bumper cover/airdam. The result was an @3" crack on the
side and bottom of the cover. Later this spring I'm going to replace it
with a new cover, but in the meantime what would you suggest I use to
glue the crack back together? Thanks in advance!

Bailey,

There's a guy on this list (Eric A.) that had a hole (about 3/4" in dia) in
his front bumper repaired when he bought his '97 540i. They filled the hole
with melted plastic, sanded it down and blended it in. The repair is still
there today 100K miles later and you'd never know that it was there.

I'll bet it would work well on a crack too.

I don't know if I'd want to try this as a DIY method, but it worked very
well in his case.

JB Weld epoxy on the backside of the crack (v it out a bit if you can) is
great for this kinda stuff.

Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I just replaced the C33 radio/cassette in my Z3 with a CD43 single CD
player, so I'm considering installing the newer head unit into my '95
M3. However, the M3 is a pre- i-bus car, and I don't want to lose the
ability to use the existing trunk-mounted CD changer.

Is there an adapter to let a later BMW radio control an earlier CD
changer?

Thanks,

No. The control methods are dramatically different.

Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I'm finishing up a valve cover gasket that I'll write up for the group later
(have gardening to do while the weather is good. I had one problem that I
thought I'd check on with the group.

The back most screw holding the cover on, by the wiring harness rail)
slipped out of my fingers as I was trying to get it into place. (tight fit.
It fell into the engine...unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have fallen
through. any BTDT with ideas of where to look or how to get it loose. I'll
try lurching the car when I pull it out to wash it later today.

Other than that, the job was fairly straightforward with a couple little
tricks. amazing how dry and brittle the cover gets. More later
