Emails Thanks for all the emails recently. Yesterday I mentioned the new musical down in the West End the most expensive musical ever staged! And an email came in promptly on that one Odd that you should mention the musical 'Lord of the Rings' today. Did you know that the actor, who plays Gandalf, Malcolm Storry, is from Kingston upon Hull. He went to Kingston High School - he was also in the school orchestra (played double bass) when I also was in it and he had a wicked sense of humour. A really nice person - and a good actor! That email comes in from Sarah. So thanks Sarah for that. I wasnt aware that we had a local star in that production. If youre lucky enough to have got tickets to go and see Lord of the Rings in London, then look out for him! And of course, get in touch with me if you have been to see it and let me know what you think about it. As usual its [EMAIL PROTECTED] Starlight I did mention the production of Starlight Express earlier in the week. It seems, from talking to people and reading the emails that this show in Hull is a huge hit with audiences. Its a big West End show and its great to have it here in the region. I did have tickets for last Saturday, but the show had to be cancelled, because the theatre was flooded after those bad storms. I also see that the Hull New Theatre have announced that Cannon and Ball are to return this year in this years pantomime. Theyre great live performers and were a huge hit last time around. So plenty of notice for that production, but look out for Cannon and Ball once again back in Hull for panto! Whats On With our new look Levy Letter, theres plenty of room for plugs for events, so keep them coming in. Heres a note from Chris Lorimer Please ask Peter to mention our Open Gardens on Sunday 24th June from 11am to 5.30pm. Its at Sigglesthorne, near Hornsea and al the proceeds go to St Lawrence Church. Were a small community and rely on word of mouth or folks like you! So a plea there from Chris to promote the Open Gardens in Sigglesthorne this Sunday. So pop over and get some gardening tips! Theres not much point in my going I dont think I need gardening tips for a pot plant on my windowsill! And Ive had a note to tell me that this year will be Ellerkers third Scarecrow Festival. They wanted a little plug, so here it is! Its on the 21st and 22nd of July. So watch out for that one! Thats it for today. Have a very good afternoon. Although its sunny and warm now, I thought it was supposed to rain again this afternoon. Perhaps an umbrella might be useful if youre out and about today. Join me tonight for todays Look North at half past six.
