Hello, it’s Peter here. I hope you had a good weekend, despite the weather.
Welcome to the start of another week of Levy Letters.

It was a wet weekend and it’s a wet start to the week too. On tonight's
programme, we'll be reporting after twenty four hours of rain, which has
brought severe flooding to large parts of our region. Throughout the day, our
reporters will be out and about in the region finding the stories from where
you are. We'll be getting the latest after the River Ludd in Louth burst its
banks, learning about the clean up operation in progress as homes are flooded
in Lincoln and Hull and finding out which schools in the region are closed. Of
course, we’ll have the all important weather forecast to see if the rain is due
to stay for much longer. Plus we’ll be getting the latest from the emergency
services, finding out what it means for transport on our roads. For the very
latest on the bad weather today, tune in tonight on BBC Look North at half past
six.

And for updates throughout the day today, tune into BBC Radio Humberside on
95.9FM or BBC Radio Lincolnshire on 94.9FM.

And during the day, if you encounter some severe flooding in your area or learn
about problems in your area due to the heavy rain, then think of us first. Get
in touch straightaway to our producer today on 01482 314501. Or email in to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] And if you see a dramatic picture to take of the awful
weather, then grab your camera, or your video camera and take those shots and
email them in to us too.

Humber Bridge Half Marathon

Thanks to everyone, who came out to support the Humber Bridge Half Marathon
yesterday and congratulations to everyone, who ran in the Fun Run. A lot of
money was made for charity and Paul and I so enjoyed meeting so many people who
turned out and the weather stayed dry until the afternoon. So thank goodness
for that!

Louis Factor

I wrote earlier in the year that Simon Cowell has dropped Louis from the X
Factor. Well it seems that they can’t cope without him and now he’s asking
Louis to come back on to the show to replace Brian Friedman. It appears that
the current arrangement isn’t working too well. This is all according to
stories in the papers that I read at the weekend.

Graham Norton

Graham’s current series on a Thursday night has had several people writing to
me moaning that it’s a bit crude at times, but you can’t please everyone.
What’s interesting is that his show is on for half an hour at 10pm on Thursday
nights. But on Sunday nights, they have a longer uncut ruder version. What is
so difficult to get your head round is that the uncut version is on a Sunday
night and actually starts earlier than the Thursday one! I wonder what the
producers were thinking when they commissioned that!

That’s all from me. Join me tonight on BBC One at half past six. Take care in
these floods. And get in touch as soon as you can with our producers if you
hear or see a story near you.

Take care,

Peter
