David, When you do an ancestry search, narrow the collection on the left hand side. You'll have to keep narrowing. I've found great stuff this way. It gets lost in all of the census and other information. The Daily Review had an article on me being bit by a dog and needing rabies shots. Cool

Joao Ventura, the Genealogist, was able to get Graciosa records for me prior to 1913, when my grandfather's family arrived in the US. He had no problem going back four generations. Joao did great! He provided the record image along with the Portuguese transcription and English transcription.
