Since we are talking Linguiça I like Fernandes Caseira (Homemade style)
Smoked Linguiça. I have had Barcelos brand and I do like it because it is
nitrate free, but Fernandes is closest to what my grandmother used to get.
I can't remember the brand she got, but it was made in San Leandro.

couple of more weeks to get it done. In the meantime, DNA questions are
always welcome on this list.

I find the CCA site works best using google chrome which you can put on
your Apple computer. Apple comes with Safari and it seems to take longer to
load the records. You can then click on an image and drag it to your screen
and your image is saved.

It's very frustrating. I'll try again, and yes Doug, I do have that many
matches. It's all on my father's side. For some reason ftDNA is top heavy

To add to Margaret's assessment of name change, I have seen the name change

did it when I went to college, but my new friends heard my old name...

Nancy,
The pleasure was ours. I always enjoy finding DNA matches. Santa Maria is
such a small island that given enough information, especially if there is a
DNA match, sooner or later the brick walls tumble.
I'm as happy as you are, cousin.

I like your explanation, Cheri. That's the best explanation I have seen yet.

Although I don't like... hate google chrome, it is by far the fastest web
browser for the CCA stuff. I haven't dealt with the new Safari browser
(which is supposedly faster), but I did get the tip from one of the

Thank you so much for your response. I know you mentioned these sites
