HDD. Only 2.5 inches wide and I'm guessing no more than a quarter to a

programs list when arrowing down through them it announces 2 graphics

Go to your start menu, then scansoft Omnipage. From there
right arrow and select scanner setup wizard or something
along those lines. Let us know if that is what you are
looking for
