You get the translation with gnome, if you are using gnome 2.20, then
you already have the translation (unless your distro removes it, or
distribute it as a separate lang pack), just switch to an Arabic locale.

As you've just been mailed, Work on gnome-2-22 starts. We have a few new
proposed packages, so we'd better hurry up with them.
Last round we had 5000+ new strings, and you guys have done a
tremenduous work with them. You continue to excel, and because of you,
GNOME is now the best Desktop
I think xfce need more translations too.

Gnome 2-20 is to be released today. We have slipped a bit and were
unable to complete it 100%, but all of the last packages are of little
importance except for Tomboy, here is a list of what is missing

Mashallah, a very good and encouraging response.
For the syncing, it's all being done through my box at dreamhost, but
that still takes some time (updating loads of Gnome packages from
Gnome's svn server), add to that my laggy ssh connections.
Syncing is done, you can now work on the cvs

Gnome 2.20 is nearing its deadline and with that comes the need to
fully translate it again. Thanks to our previous work, this is not
really hard, current statistics state:
35561 translated 92.67%
1423 fuzzy 3.7%
1386 incomplete 3.61%
I am in the process of syncing our repository
