Dear Lance,
I hope that you will find something treatable. My Mako also has a
mass, and we keep going back and forth with how to proceed.
My thoughts will be with you and Ember, hoping for a good result.
Please let us know how it goes...

Hi Lee,
Just a caution, 18 months ago I had no FeLV positive cats. I now have two. The same cats. The infection can apparently sequester in the bone marrow, and resurface with immune suppression and/or stress.
That's why I say my "mixing" was inadvertant :(

Not to be a downer, but this screams scam to me. There is no specific sanctuary who has agreed to accept Alan (and surely they could get a decent picture of him?), nor any details. Way too nebulous.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but no, I wouldn't contribute to this
.-Original Message-
That's why I'm not condemning outright. I think a scam would be better organized, but who knows. Whatever the truth, I hope that Alan finds Sanctuary.
Maybe the years have just made me reluctant to trust, but experience can be a bitter teacher.

). You could even ask your Vet for a rabies waiver for the older cats. Some will, some won't, and in some places it's not legal, but it's worth asking :)
I would avoid vaccinating the + cat.HTH,Margo

Sorry, somehow I missed the part about little contact with strays, so I'd be comfortable

Hi. My name is Beth. I run a feral cat rescue. That's how I
so it can be documented. Cost is high, but if I want them to get good homes, it's needed.
I have also looked into the T-cyte, but Gribble also is young, so I went elsewhere. I'm now re-thinking that, but for now, we're using Interferon.

Good for you, Polli!

You might want to check and see if the anemia has returned, that might
be somewhere to start with treatment. Gribbs is on Interferon and DMG, but
that's it right now.
