I am wondering why each time I save as pdf the FrameMaker Console says:

Best as I can recall, it popped up when trying to "Save as PDF" when my HP
deskjet was listed as the default printer. However, in my case, FM did no
automatic switching. When I saved the PDF nothing showed up, despite the

That is an excellent statement of the one remaining "gotcha"
with the Save As PDF feature. It was really broken in 5.x, partly
fixed in 6.0, and mostly fixed in 7.x, but still only works reliably
if the default printer for FrameMaker is Adobe PDF. Somebody

version of the Frame book (long story), is it true that I should be putting
only BMPs in my Frame file, since I believe I recall someone saying that
non-BMP images in Frame do not always turn out sized properly in Word

Not necessarily. You simply need to have a .bm
