I haven't played the game in quite a while, but as I recall, if you line things up absolutely perfectly, you can actually knock out at least one of the prison bots (I'm thinking the one near the elevator and the one at the terminal) without getting hit. My strategy was to first head for the guy by the elevator. If you can't here the robot it won't shoot you, so if you're quick you can use side steps to make sure that you're aimed right at it before you walk into its range. Then all you have to do is shoot. For the bot by the computer, if I remember rightly he's standing right in front of the door. Open it, shoot once, and hammer your walk backwards button. If its done right, he'll be chasing you through the door, which lines him up perfectly for your follow-up shot. This is a bit of a rambling post, but hopefully it gives you some pointers. its a beta. as far as I know there was no release of anything new since it first came out back when it did I think 2007 or 2006. anyway there is an unofficial mod for it on the klango forums somewhere that runs you as probably john conner from the terminator series. story is the same but thats what it is. though I have been listening to a friend playing judgementday and the fact of the matter is that the chopper is supposed to be shot down by the bots and then the game continues. however this game has it ending at the copter. so there is potential for more levels. So what you are saying their could have been more levels but the makers didn't add them. So what is the ending of the game or does it not have one? If this game don't have an ending to it then it's a waste of my time playing it. I can deal with the game surpose to have more levels but it don't. It is unfortunate that the developer seems to have discontinued work on the game. Despite the extremely high frustration factor, at least for me, the game did have a great deal of potential. I personally lost interest in Technoshock fairly quickly, even though I've been hankering for a more challenging audio game for years. But I can answer your initial question. Remember that when you start in that first room there's a force field that'll kill you instantly if you touch it? That's what that switch you found is for. It turns off that field, allowing you to proceed. well its supposed to make a sound. go back to the room where you got the axe. The forcefield is down, you should be able to go to the lift. There is a couple more guards I think, oh and a computer you need to get a code from that. and then well there is another scope thing and the lift and a mosquito bot which you don't want to run in to. push enter to open the lift then up arrow. Personally though ts really didn't get me going. Mainly because on story2 I was not able to get passed the fireballs, almost impossible and well. I lost interest to. Mainly because of not many audio cues. And the fact that when you pick up medkits they get used automatically. I'd like to use em when I want to. And when you die you just restart. And well, I doubt acid pits would be in every room, every hallway. Also there is no real way once you are amongst the fireballs to know where you are supposed to go. And not much audio cuing or extra scanners. I'm having some trouble lining up the rooms off the conveyer, which isn't straight at ninety degrees like in Story 5 and am having to do a lot of trial and error. I've made it to the room where the yellow key is located and found the yellow key. I understand there is a door immediately across from that room on the conveyer with a switch that will turn the conveyer off. I've found the room but would like any tips on lining up with the room so I can jump off. If I miss, I end up transported to a room with a teleport, like in story 5. The only difference is this room is booby trapped. When I fire hand grenades in there to destroy the grenades inside the room, the grenades go through the teleport and have no effect. Of course, when I step inside this room, I get blown to smithereens. Any idea what this room does? I've made it to the room where the yellow key is located and found the yellow key. I understand there is a door immediately across from that room on the conveyer with a switch that will turn the conveyer off. I've found the room but would like any tips on lining up with the room so I can jump off. If I miss, I end up transported to a room with a teleport, like in story 5. The only difference is this room is booby trapped. When I fire hand grenades in there to destroy the grenades inside the room, the grenades go through the teleport and have no effect. Of course, when I step inside this room, I get blown to smithereens. Any idea what this room does? Hi Janet and your all. I really understand your frustrations to find the right way in TechnoShock. I can help you alot with a little hint you can use in most of 3d games: If it's possable to walk in all 4 directions in a game and if you can sidestep, don't turn around with your arrow keys when you come to a wall. Yes, you do it in the real life, but it's not a good idea in games. Why not? Here comes an example: You are heading north. You walk forword in a hallway, and come to a wall. You turn right with your right arrow key until you can walk forword again. The next time you come to a wall. You notest there is hallways to the left and right. You turn left and walk forword. You continue and you know you have turned: left 3 times, right 6 times. Hmm, where are you in this large map??? I think you are very lost too. Lets try with sidestep: You are heading north. You walk forword in a hallway, and come to a wall. You walk right useing sidestep until you can walk forword again. The next time you come to a wall. You notest there is hallways to the left and right. You walk left and walk forword. You continue and you know you have walk: left 3 times, right 6 times. Now you are at the same point you are, if you just turn in the directions. But what is the difference? If you have lost your directions and you don't know where you are, you know one thing: You are still heading north because you have not turned into another direction. Therefore, you know where you are at the map, you have a little idea about where the different hallways are, and you have a very big chance to find the right way back to your startpoint again. I hope some of you can use this little hint so you can find the right way in the different games. I hope it makes sence for you all. It it doesn't make sence, I hope someone can explain it in other ways. I'm not very good to give out describtions in english. If someone can use this little hint, I'll be glat to hear from you. You can walk in here and there are exits on both sides. The right one leads to a room with a terminal that you need to use and a guard you need to kill. The left one takes you to the elevator to the next floor but be careful there is a guard in there too. This should get you to the next floor where I am currently somewhat stuck. Ok here is what I do for the first floor. S P O I L E R When the game starts, find the axe in the first room, you've already done that. Then break down the door and go into the next room. Kill the robot that is there and flip the switch. I know you've got this far but am just writing it down for my own clarity. Now, go back into the first room and you will find that the electric barrier on the other door that you should have heard before is now replaced by a buzzer. You can walk in here and there are exits on both sides. The right one leads to a room with a terminal that you need to use and a guard you need to kill. The left one takes you to the elevator to the next floor but be careful there is a guard in there too. This should get you to the next floor where I am currently somewhat stuck. If you go to the archives for this list you can do a search since the answer to your question has been already posted to the list. The search feature of the archives is a great tool. Just type in the box the two words: technoshock download You will get many messages which have the word technoshock and download in them. One of them amazingly enough is a message written by Shaun E telling everyone where you can download it. I even did the searching for you and will provide the direct link to the message below. At any rate the music for the doomsday doom project is already on the web somewhere I just forgot the link. If you search the archives for doomrl you should be able to find where that music is.
