Peter, I have the Diehl main gear and nose gear. I am using a 52 x 52 prop on a VW 2180, Diehl case and Great Plains engine mount. Firewall bolt pattern and layout is per the RR plans. With the airframe level and 40 psi in the tires I have 9-inches clearance from the prop tip to the concrete

Peter, Take care not to spill any fuel on the styrofoam; gasoline will dissolve styrofoam. Vinyl ester resin will also dissolve styrofoam. Epoxy is ok for styrofoam. Urethane foam is compatible with gasoline. If you are going to make composite fuel tanks, suggest you use urethane foam and

Here is an update on my KR-2 construction. Getting the engine cooling inlet ducts built with inspiration and unabashed copying ideas from Mark Langford and Bill Clapp as witnessed at The Gathering 2008 plus adaptation for my 2180 VW.

John, However you cut into the old tanks and stick them back together, make sure there are no pockets left to gather water other than at the quick drain. You may want to change the dimensions of the tanks to limit fore and aft movement of the fuel so you don't get CG changes with pitch changes.
