Alex must be downloaded. The problem with your audio isn't the Mac, it's probably your Y adapter. You are correct that Mac Mini's don't have microphones. Your last one didn't, either. Mine from 2012 didn't and the one from 2020 doesn't. I have mine connected to my 32-channel digital mixing

I have some more questions. this is a 2023 Mac. Mini and it’s running Ventura. on my old one I had a Y in which were plugged my speakers and my headphones. that isn’t working very well on this one. is there a way to have both plugged in to this computer? there’s no place for a microphone either
