How do I set up the desk top version for outlook ? I do not want to use the
web mail for outlook. Any help would be appreciate .

I agree as well; Outlook is so well integrated, and much easier to scroll through built-in lists and menus. Not to mention, the intouface is generally more snappy, since one is not dealing with the web constantly loading, and navigating around to locate specific edit boxes or buttons
I actually disagree; I use Outlook and I actually prefer it over Mail at this
point. But it’s not just a web app; they have an actual Mac app as well.

the Mac outlook is a web app that vary confusing. Mac mail I find to be

Why not go to Internet Accounts, in System Preferences on your Mac. There you
can set up a new account using your outlook.com email address.

I have a suspicion its not a server error. I have a Microsoft 365
subscription on Windows and an Outlook email account on Windows, Mac and
iPhone as well. Error is on both Windows and Mac now.

using outlook as it is useful to schedule teams meetings where you are inviting
others as it puts the link straight in to the invite but it is a little clunky

The old Outlook Express you were using does not support IMAP, and was most
likely using a POP setup.

I would suggest using the preview / beta versions of Office on the Macintosh if
possible. I found the standard Outlook to be significantly more frustrating to
use with VoiceOver. The newer versions don't rea the blank fields in the table
of messages, and very specifically indicate how many
I use the outlook client or Apple mail myself. Outlook is quite good although
I’m a bit more used to apple mail, outlook is very accessible on the Mac.
