Try this:
Modify the table containing the regions by adding a column (if there are
less than 32000 points max per region INTEGER data type will do)
Then in TABLE, go to UPDATE COLUMN, pick the table with the regions, pick
the column you want to update with the count, In the GET VALUE FRO

Hi Piebe,
You could try using an animation layer for this - you would need to use
Mapbasic. This is a special layer type with a quick redraw for that layer
only. I have yet to try this out!

Thanks to Jacques, I've just found out that Area(obj, "hectare") does
the job nicely. However, to help others out there who might be having
similar problems, make sure the appropriate column is set up properly
- in this case Decimal.
