Not just in MB factories but in general cars are PKW's whereas trucks are
LKW. However in general talk cars are reffered to as auto's. Trucks are
shortened to lastwagen.

The seller seems to think that it is worth $140, I do however like the
location it's at, between paradise and the garden of Eden.

Changing the fuel filter is a pain because the large feed hose has to be
clamped but there will still be a little bit of fuel escape all over your
arm. There should also be a screen in the tank itself which can block up.
There should be small screens within the fuel system itself (there are on
I have one on the bottom of my 230E, which came off my old 200, which came
from South Africa. Probably most ZA Mercs came with one.
No you can't have it. The mounting holes should be on every 123 and they are
not hard to fit but finding one is going to be hard. Best bet is to find one

Look in the owners manual and all will be revealed.
The problem is that low octane fuel will make the engine run like poo
because the thing will retard itself to compensate and therefore you will
have less power and higher fuel consumption.
I run my 230E on 95 octane (over here 91 is standard an
Not only power but mileage as well.
87 is cat wee not fit for Benz consumption.
It has to be remembered that Merc engines are build well and need good food
to do well. If you want to cheap out buy a cheap brand car.
By the way, the later engines are self adjusting as far as timing goes so

Not really odd, the 126 came before the 201 and they have turned their big
cars into hot rods (6.3/6.9).
The reason they produced performance 201's is that it is a very good chassis
for doing it. Power to weight ratio is a big thing in racing.
