There's a guy on YouTube who shows how to get the carbs back on an 80's V45 Magna. He suggests making carb boot tea with hot water to soften them before putting the carbs on with a ratchet strap and pry bars. His suggestion to rub the insides of the boots with motor oil seemed to help when I pu

Oh, sorry. I didn't read carefully. You probably found the Emgo ones. I ordered one for a XJ550 once, and it didn't fit (too long). So even if you order the "right thing," there's no guarantee it will fit. I ended up buying the whole filter housing off of Ebay. Luckily, it wasn't my daily ride.
