Hi,
my old devices have only 16 GB on the internal SD card (and 256 Gb on the

But now Android just says "Installation failed".
Has there been a significant change recently?

Have a look at the file favourites.xml in OSMAND data folder.
You have to extend this file with entries like, where you have to modify
lat / lon,
the name tag, the type tag and the color tag.
Mind to insert your entries before the final
tag.

Hi, I have more than a hundred favourites, lots of them being several hundred
kilometers apart. Is there a means to sort the list according to the distance
to the current position.
Many thanks for a hint,
Helmut

The map for all of Poland is still at March 1st but the regional maps are
the most recent (May 1st)

I don't know. But there are contour lines for each of the 13 parts of
France.
I do have contour lines for those parts I have installed (I don't have all
of France installed here)

Ich 16 GB Karten, soviel wie mein leerer interner Speicher hat.

Just reinstall it from Google Play - they won't require you to pay for it
again.
Or if your phone is rooted and you make backups with Titanium you can
reinstall it from there.

All favorites can be moved. I've asked that a few months ago. Just search
this forum. The feature is a bit hidden.

I prefer using the Android app "GPS Logger" which drains less battery.
Furthermore you can store waypoints with a meaningful name at any time.
You can edit these tracks with the app "GPS Track Editor" and view them
with the app "GPX Viewer".
You can then copy these GPX files into the OSMAND folder
Have you checked that OSMAND is excepted from any battery saving mode?
Have you Greenify installed?
Anyway, I prefer a different solution. I'm using "GPS Logger" which drains
less battery. You can then copy the track saved by GPS Logger to the folder
/files/tracks by using any file manager (like
lly rename it to .ZIP
