The easiest way to judge light fall off and/or vignetting is to mount
the lens on a body, set the speed to bulb, the aperture to any setting other
than "A", open the back and fire the shutter. Look through the lens and see
if you can see the filter or lens barrel and notice at which
I started with Photo CD. It's a great way to get some images to begin working with
digitally. Unfortunately, at the time it had a bit of a problem with its color space

scanned onto Kodak Photo CD, both Pro and normal versions. The Pro one
is excellent, but very expensive and probably not worth the money
unless you want huge enlargements. The standard scans depend very much
on the operator.

can theoretically transmit some IR I have never heard of it happening in

2.Cock self timer;
3.Nudge self timer back towards the lens;
4.The shutter will fire when the timer runs down.

Another potential cause of discrepancy might be the fact that the KM and
K1000 use full-frame averaging meters rather than center-weighted like most
other cameras. The difference should be pretty small in most cases, though.

shutter at all.. the timer will do that for you.

All reports indicate that the lens should be a pretty good performer,
but there are, of course, sample variations to consider as well as
damage or poor repairs, or there could be a misalignment of the mount
when, which would give you poor results.
As for the plastic - well, I'm not a big fan of P
