It is a Pentax Function 1. Along with the film depletion it is also
the focus confirmation and error beep and was the first thing I disabled on
the camera -- therefore I have never heard it.

It is Pentax Function 11. It states it is for the illumination
button's function during wireless operation. This disables the flash to
fire, or the button to fire a rest or modeling flash.
