There's a pulldown menu at the top of the screen. I can manually turn
the gps on and off from there. If it's off my Google maps and similar
programmes won't work.
I leave it off
Unless the mobile phone has GPS you can only be tracked to a particular
cell. Which is a huge area. Al-Qaeda if they're smart, (and sometimes
they are), use cheap disposable phones that don't have GPS
capabilities. Satellite phones however are easier to track, which is
what attracts

I leave it off unless needed to run a programme both for power use and reasons
of paranoia. ;-)

I was looking at one of those at the local camera dealer a few days
ago. I was very impressed. They had some 10 x 13 enlargements made
from some pretty good images taken with the camera. Looked darn good
to me.

You can and you are: Your approximate position is triangulated through
the cell towers within range. Much less precise than GPS, but still
useful for some purposes.

Frank, there's nothing stopping anyone from making a false report
about anyone to CPS and having your kids taken away as a protective
measure without any proof or evidence. No video required.
There will always be ways to game the system. You don't need to be
convicted or even go to trial, just

Good to know. My Motorola Droid 2 running Android 3 doesn't appear to have any
function that disconnects GPS. I don't want to turn it off anyway, because I
use it frequently, but I'm surprised that all android operating systems aren't
the same. Of course, I could be missing something obvious.
Ooooh, I like that. Good catch.

Hi All,
Just a few days ago I was asking if anybody knows the difference between
different Sandisk Extreme (class 10) SDHC cards.
Not hearing from anybody, I decided to go to the source.
Oh, boy!... I think waterboarding should be allowed only for SanDisk
technical-support representatives (TSR)
Excellent, Frank! Everything just right to my eye. Cheers, Christine
