Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
BPA and others... I just realized yesterday that Logitech is dumping their entire Squeezebox line. My whole house has several custom clients that are based on the latest SoftSqueeze.jar (integrates into my Media Center software). I am curious how long will my clients continue to work for? Are there any opensource backends which could be compatible with my Softsqueeze.jar based app? It's unconscionable for me to image Logitech just dumping such a great technology. mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

This is great! :) I was so bummed out until I saw both of your responses. So, potentially we can have 3rd party plugins for SiriusXM , Slacker and Pandora. I vaguely remember there's already a 3rd party plugin for SiriusXM. As long as the 3rd party plugins are offered for SiriusXM; and, at least one or two more 3rd party radio provider plugins, I'll be set for for a while (until I can ultimately find a technology that can completely replace everything I have currently). Do any of you have a list of working 3rd party radio plugins? PS: Would I still be able to keep my local FM radio stations I listen to via Squeezebox clients? [SlimDevices: Plugins] List of 3rd party plugins to replace Squeezebox.com-dependent music services
I just read that LMS and respective Squeezebox client devices will continue to work as long as the plugins used are not dependent on Squeezebox.com servers. I'm curious if anyone can provide a list 3rd party plugins for music services. I've been told there is a Spotify 3rd party plugin. I also know of the NotSoSirius plugin. Yeah, I just recently downloaded and installed the mp3 plugin from that same URL. BPA can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the whole reason why the mp3 plugin was never included as part of the package is because it belongs to Oracle (not public domain). I reported this bug to bugzilla over a year ago, but it was never fixed. A fellow NoSoSirius who had the same problem told me to use your plugin. And, wala... you plugin worked flawlessly... until the sirius web player was changed. Is it easier to make a beta plugin for NoSoSirius for people who have full subscription? If so, maybe you can release a beta limited to that until you have more time to get it to work for people who have low bandwidth sirius only. BPA, as you might know, Android based mobile devices are the biggest/fastest selling phones currently (beating iphone, blackberry, nokia, etc). You would be like a god if you could compile Softsqueeze for the current Android OS (Froyo 2.2) Java. I'm guessing there would only minor changes you need to do before compiling to make it work.. such as outputing to the android sound device for sound. There's a good chance that pretty much all Android phone owners on this forum would use Softsqueeze for Android. If you were to make the Android version, I'm pretty sure it would be much more popular than even the one used in this thread. I am pretty sure that you also have the right to distribute it and sell it on Google Market (Android app store). I would definitely buy it. $4.95 sounds like a reasonable price for what it does. Would you please think about it; considering all the people who you would make happy on this forum? This seems like a perfect opportunity since, Squeezeplay can't be ported to other platforms. Thanks for the candid responses. I didnt really expect squeezecommander to support audio anytime soon; which is why I asked. But it looks like audio support may be closed than I originally thought. I just bought squeezecommander for my android phone for 2.99 pounds. Hopefully, there will be an update soon for audio. Until then, the only way I can do this is to RDP into my server with my Android phone and use Softsqueeze. bpa;587247 Wrote: Yes you are guessing - from a quick glance I think that not only the audio but also the user interface libraries are not supported by Android - so those would require new code as well as porting over the other 3rd parties libraries (about 6 in total) which may or may not use APIs which are unsupported by Android. I've used that argument before getting development budgets approved - then reality happens. Optimism should never be used when hard numbers can be found. Besides you are ignoring the current Andoid offerings for squeezbox which are likely to have audio support soon as well as other growing music alternatives. I think Richard Titmuss and the authors of the 3rd party libraries would need to be consulted first. Strangely it would be cheaper for me to give it away for free than to charge for it as the additional income would trigger some taxes and I reckon the sales would not cover the accountants costs, the taxes payable and the development effort. Furthermore once people pay for something they demand support 24x7. So for me it is not worth the hassle. For several although the Napster plugin has been included in the latest SBS, there is a small issue related to the fact that it uses WMA based files. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
Hi BPA, I can understand that your motivation to fix benign errors like the one below isn't the top of your todo list. :) However, if its just a typo, maybe you could fix it in your next public build. That error seems to happen on Windows and Linux using any recent Squeezebox server when you click on the plugins tab and select settings for this plugin. Speaking of trivial things, I remember seeing a Softsqueeze 3.9b2 somewhere, but I think that must have been a mistake since the latest version of the plugin I could download is 3.9b1 There are a couple of lingering issues which arent so trivial; but, I'm guessing they are pretty difficult to fix or you probably would have fixed them by now. Issue #1 is actually a relatively high priority since some of us still use Softsqueeze to play local music. Issue #1: For local media, the first second or so of a song is cut off. IIRC, this doesnt happen on classic squeezebox hardware clients; so, it can't be a SBS limitation. Issue #2: For whatever reason.. the cute little Softsqueeze Java applet that comes with Softsqueeze broke at some point in the recent past (It used to work with Softsqueeze 3.6 and I think even in 3.7). IIRC, you mentioned in the past that you've never even heard of it before. The app looks like its about to finish loading into memory, but gets stuck right before showing the interface. Here's the URL if you want to try it: http://127.0.0.1:9000/plugins/softsqueeze/html/applet.html Anyway we all can't thank you enough BPA for keeping Softsqueeze alive and working nicely. -M bpa;568377 Wrote: No error - there are no settings. Are you able to even get to the interface so you can go into the preferences and change the sound card driver you want to use? If yes, then change the sound card to something else that works. If no, (which is what I'm guessing is what's happening) you may have to go into the registry and manually change the sound card (softsqueeze mixer) used. The name in quotes will be the same name you see for your audio devices under control panel; except you need a / symbol preceeding each work such as: audio.mixer=/Speakers (/Realtek /High /Definition /Audio) audio.mixer=/Speakers (/Creative /S/B /X-/Fi) audio.mixer=/Speakers (/Bluetooth /Stereo /Audio) audio.mixer=/Primary /Sound /Driver Located under here: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\org\titmuss\softsqueeze] I hope this helps a little. -MKANET brownru;517839 Wrote: I installed the Softsqueeze plugin as mentioned through the WebUI. This is a long shot, because I dont know the real name of your sound card that your system sees it at... and Im going to take your word for it that what you said (each character counts!!) is correct. First... close softsqueeze... do NOT have it in memory. Second, close regedit if its still open in memory. Then... Download the attachment in this post to your desktop, extract the reg file in it. Double-click it, acknowledge that you want it to be added to your PC. Then go back to the same registry location.. and confirm that this entry is now there and that before it wasnt... then try opening Softsqueeze again.. see if you can get into the preferences without errors. brownru;517896 Wrote: No, I cannot get the Softsqueeze started. Backend=mysqueezebox.com or whatever it was called at the time SqueezeCenter 7.2.1 was releaesd. I dont think the is related to any changes done on my server. All settings have been the same, changing the available settings didnt make any difference back then; I never got that error. This issue only happens when the backend mysqueezebox.com somehow reports more than one login of the same service handled by mysqueezebox.com. You are on the right track by asking me to look at things that affect the manipulation of TCP/IP. There is s a reason why some of these specs were carefully selected by Microsoft. However. the weird thing is my OS, service pack and tweaks that I used did not adversely affect playack of my sotsqueeze clients on the server. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
BPA, for whatever it's worth, I want to thank you for genuinely caring about softsqueeze. There are more people than you could ever imagine that use it... not the way you imagine though. Many of us use your softsqueze.jar and use our own GUI frontend. Softsqueeze.jar doesnt know the difference.. just depending on it's registry settings. There is an issue I have spent hours on trying to get to the bottom of (related to my previous questions). I ONLY use your latest softsqueeze.jar on multiple clients (some with the traditional old fashioned interface, some with the very advanced UI (much nicer than even squeezeplay). I dont use any other version of the jar file. As you know, there are some information that softsqueeze.jarmysqyeezebox.com do not pass between eachother. The most obvious is mysqueezebox.com doesnt display which client is active; even if music is being proxied from the music service to the client. Also, favorites aren not synched. Interestingly, some things are updated. There is this very unusual bug related to the mysqueezebox.com backend which is driving me nuts; which maybe you might know what's going on... even if its a wild guess with no way to fix it. Have you see this post on the forum? http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71255 It seems that there are people (besides me) who are complaining that mysqueezebox.com (after Squeezecenter 7.3 was introduced) would unexpectedly give the errors You are not authorized (for Sirius Radio) and You are logged in in another location (for Slacker). When there are NOT other players signed on using the same account. I am very sure this is caused by mysqueezebox.com no managing it's players properly. It leaves ghost/stray audio connections lingering around to the Internet Music Service provider; even though the player has obviously stopped it's audio connection. This is just a guess (and I might be completely wrong), but I think that softsqueze.jar sometime resets it's audio stream due to some kind of hickup which causes mysqyeezebox.com to think there are now two simultaneous logins; hence, telling the music provider there are two logins. If you have a better guess, please let me know. If you think my guess could be a valid possibility, what precautions can I take to prevent these error messages. Here is a ubBIG HINT/b/u, this issue seems to only occur during local playback (softsqueeze.jar) on the same machine as the squeezebox server. It doesnt make a difference if I use proxied or direct connection. I have increased the network buffer to 5 seconds and timeout to 10 seconds. Maybe, I should increase the buffer even more? If there's a way to add code to softsqueeze.jar to communicate player status and possibly other items to mysqueeebox server; hence eventually to mysqueezebox.com, this might increase reliability under certain circumstances; and, at the same time keep softsqueeze.jar fully featured. Communicating status at the very least might help a great deal. Maybe there are technological limitations that are just not feasible. However, I thought I would at least mention this in case some of these ideas might be possible by someone smart like you. -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
This is very helpful advice. Yes, I have a feeling this issue I'm seeing is related to a specific machine; which happens to be my squeezebox server as well. I did install a TCP/IP hack to increase the limit of TCPIIP connections since I use this machine for several different TCP/IP related services. However, that should help things, but make things worse. Ever since I added secondary accounts to slacker and sirius radio on mysqueezebox.com, I noticed the problem happens much less frequeently (it used to be sometimes every 5 minutes.. now its every 45 minutes - 1 hour)...even longer if I dont do anything TCP/IP related. I guess I could try to increase the buffer to a very high value; including the timeout to see what kind of affect it has. The condition I'm pointing out is definitely not that bad; and in fact, works great. However, I have so many internet services running on this machine, you probably wouldnt believe it... I have 12 TV tuners on this machine serving through the internet, ASP.net based apps, FTP, and many other TCP/IP based services. The good news is I inreased the reliabilty considerably by adding 2 accounts (one for each client). I dont know why that helped, but there's not question that it did. I will also take a closer look at tcp/ip based activity using my favorite utility TCPView; which works okay. Thank you for your support for this product with minor enhancements. I dont expect any major changes. As long as logitech doesnt abandon their customers who bought the classic squeezebox hardware devices, I think us softsqueeze users will be fine. bpa;515339 Wrote: As I said before I cannot test these services as they are not available to me. Softsqueeze is not my code - I just do some basic maintenance on it to keep it ticking over until SqueezePlay is ready (which is taking longer than expected). Changing Softsqueeze to add some additional status would probably require changes in SBS which I cannot do so it is unlikely. Spoftsqueeze is a strange beast, within SBS it is subclassed of a Transporter model as it was used to test new products graphics but its audio/network is not quite an SB2 so it has a minimal implementation of the slimproto protocol especially since changes in 7.3. Your best bet would be to isolate the problem. I think you need to record sessions (probably on both sides of local SBS) using something like wireshark (was Ethereal). Note time when recording started and the time when the problem occur - examine the recording forensically at the problem timepoint and go backwards. I've done this a number of times tracking rare protocol events which required recordings of many hours - it is tedious but that is what it will require. From your description, I think the problem could be associated with a TCP reset which is used to clear half-open TCP connection but often still ends with a half open connection but stuck. Applications need to look for the ECONNRESET error but often with don't block on read on a TCP socket - the Reset error code is overlooked as code assumes there is no data to read. I think there could be issues handling ECONNRESET in a proxy configuration (e.g. should a RESET be propagated or absorbed or link closed by the proxy). To get started, I suggest looking at the Reset count in the TCP connection statistics (e.g. netstat -s) on both sides of the SBS and from both ends (i.e. monitor 4 sets of counts). The Reset count usually only increment at beginning and end of connections. See if Reset count is increment around the time you have a hiccough in your audio. -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Okay BPA I have a feeling this might be easier than you thought... below, are the two utilities I used to manipulate default Vista TCP/IP behavior. I would like to know what's safe and what's not. The feature I use most is disabling the ridiculously low default limit of TCP/IP connections on my server. So which tweaks can I keep and which one seems like might be the reason I'm having these issues? http://mka.net/SG_Vista_TcpIp_patch.rar (most popular tcp/ip Vista performance tweak) http://mka.net/Half-open_limit_fix_3.1.rar (most popular Vista connection limit remover) ---I really use this! bpa;515352 Wrote: One scenario for TCP Reset happens with media players which don't ack TCP packets until they have been processed ready to play. If you have large no. of TCP buffers then many packets will have been received but not acked - if you are using a high compressions (e.g. slow speed mP3) or big window size (e.g. Satellite link) then the time taken to play the internal buffer is longer than the TCP timeout on unacked packets. The problem with TCP connection reset usually happens when users increase the number of buffers and/or increase TCP WIndows size (typically on satellite connections) to optimise the throughput. This is fine for ftp or HTTP - disaster for media. To see if this is your problem you need to check how many packets are unacked when you pause a stream and if you keep stream paused for over 3 minutes (typical TCP timeout) does it reset. -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

http://half-open.com/ explains it in a very short and precise description (better than what I can say; which isn't registry based. It just replaces the tcpip.sys file. The other registry based tweaks contain an exact copy of the vista defaults (I even double checked before applying them; hence, it has an option to put the default registry settings back. They are two of the most popular TCP/IP mods which many people use... which didnt affect me when I used squeezecenter 7.2.1 and earlier (with respective backend). Maybe just a couple of minutes of your time might be all it takes to see soemthing that looks very bad. If nothing looks obvious, no worries. I didnt think it would hurt to ask. bpa;515358 Wrote: You really need to put some effort into determining the problem rather than tweaking parameters. You could enable logging by setting WebUI Setting/Advanced/Logging/ plugin.sirius to DEBUG and then test Sirius use and then check server.log. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
Thanks for the update BPA. There is only one minor issue. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? With Napster, if I navigate to the genre/radio station/song and push PLAY on softsqueeze, it looks like its about to play, but then it says, Invalid Credentials. I have already checked multiple times in my squeezenetwork account; and did confirm I'm using the correct username/password; in fact, if I enter the wrong username or password in squeezenetwork for Napster, it knows immnediately; and, doesnt save the account. So, even if I have the correct premium account saved in squeezenetwork, softsqueeze will still say invalid credentials. I haven't tried this with squeezeplay yet. That's my next test. As I said, this is a relatively minor issue; but, thought I'd mention it since you asked. Anyway, thanks for all your effort with softsqueeze while juggling all the other plugins!! -MKANET bpa;442536 Wrote: Is there any specific issue that concerns you ? I get to do some work SoftSqueeze but have had to back to plugins / AlienBBC as there have been (and will be more) API changes in 7.4noweb-sqllite branch and BBC updates. Sure. Thats a good idea. FYI, If I push PLAY twice, though for Napster using Softsqueeze.. it will play the song/station. The first time, it says Invalid Credentials. bpa;442572 Wrote: That sounds like an SC problem since all Sosftsqueeze does is pass the play keypress code and display any message from SC. Maybe.. but with the other bug (at least for me) the songs would also flip-flop back and forth in a strange mix; and, required multiple key presses. This is very consistent. The first time I push play, it says invalid credentials, the subsequent time I press PLAY quickly, it works correctly every time. bpa;442575 Wrote: Could be a variation of the pause/play bug where two presses of play are needed to get stream to play. -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes, Sirius works very well.. However, sirius still requires your latest fix for wma conversion. bpa;433706 Wrote: I think there were changes in SB firmware for SC 7.3.x were to support Pandora and other services where the SB gets a connections and port needed for its direct connections and the SB has to tell SC that it was successfuk connecting. It might have been necessary to ensure playing as there are security issues (e.g. geo IP blocking) when using Pandora on SN - as the geographical location of player would not be the same as SN. The setting makes sense as web proxying avoids the SB player doing the direct connection but it implies an SC server and SC is basically the same mechanism used when playing Pandora on synced players. I think the Geo IP blocking would be done on the location of SC server. BPA, you wont believe this... after all this testing, reinstalling, upgrading and downgrading of SC, etc.. thinking there is something wrong with softsqueeze.. Any version after SC 7.2.1, if you change the SC setting for player/audio/mp3 streaming method=proxied streaming instead of direct streaming, all radio stations works perfectly again. I'm not sure what changed in SC to cause this setting required to be changed; but, there's a very easy solution to make all radio stations work again. I have had to change to proxied streaming in the past; but only under unusual circumstances such as tunneling softsqueze through SSH. Sorry for all the trouble. I tried the old trick of changing the file type of WMA to disable, but that caused a problem another problem. Anyway, I know there's a fix for this already in Bugzilla, however, I'm hoping the next build of Softsqueeze will include this fix (since it includes all the other fixes). Will the next build of Softsqueeze 3.9 beta be announced in this thread or a separate thread under 3rd Party Plugins? Sorry, I was in a rush this morning. There's a good chance I goofed something up. I'll take my time this evening to test. There's a good chance that Softsqueeze 3.9 does include the fix I want and I just didnt update softsqueeze correctly. bpa;417910 Wrote: I can't test Sirius so you should provide more info such as what is the other problem if you disable WMA-Flac. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Are you willing to pay for a Sirius Radio plug-in?
It's not a dumb question, since most people dont know the advantages of softsuqeeze... but using a softqueeze allows for flexibility, functionality, and general aesthetics in the user interface, speaker settings, and other automation not possible by any hardware that is offered by Slim Devices/logitech. For example, with my softsqueeze-powered setup, in the mornings while getting ready for work, my PM automatically switches to my high-end bluetooth speakers near my bathroom/bedroom, then switches back to the default home theater speakers. Another example, I have integrated softsqueeze based technology into my home theater setup which offers a far better experience in user interface navigation, flexibility, and general aesthetics that aren't offered by Slim Devices/logitech... the picture comparison below should explain better: Nonreality;345124 Wrote: This may be a dumb question, but why do you need it to work on Softsqueeze? It's really not your problem is it? The need is it to work on your equipment and anything else is a bonus to the people that use the other stuff. Maybe I'm missing something here with the people that complain to you. +---+ |Filename: slim-3.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5936| +---+ -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20621 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 for SqueezeCenter 7.0
Hi, thanks for the great plugin. I'm curious if there are any outstanding issues related to Softsqueeze/SC 7.01 under Windows Vista. Are there any plans for SC to support last.FM entirely in SC 7.x/Squeezenetwork (without the need of this plugin)? I know this just happened to the Sirius Radio Plugin. My last question is a bit off topic, but I know there are a lot of smart people who watch this thread... I could be wrong, but there currently is no good way to have Now Playing on SqueezeCenter information relayed to Internet Chat programs like Trillian. Is there a clever way to somehow taking advantage of the information being sent to LastFM AudioScrobbler to be sent to chat programs? -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38845 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Are you willing to pay for a Sirius Radio plug-in?
There's a bug in Sirius radio builtin to 7.01 currently. Does anyone know the status of this problem? I just upgraded to a clean version of 7.01 (without Greg's plugin). However, it continuously loads, then connects, then loads... not actually connecting. I called logitech support. They said that this is a current bug. However, it looks like there are people who are (or at least were) using it before. Did it break at some point? Maybe there's a fix for it? -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20621 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Andy, is there a upcoming fix for this in the near future? Will the fix be in a beta version of SC? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Are you willing to pay for a Sirius Radio plug-in?
I have the same exact configuration as before both on the server side and the client using softsqueeze with latest software (using SqueezeCenter 7). I can playback all different kinds of audio files, and other plugins. However, with this plugin, I can navigate through the menus... and it says... connecting... buffering... after buffering is finished it displays the artist and song.. I can even see the data being transfered via window task manager. However, there's no audio. The only way I can trick this plugin so I can hear the sound... is start streaming of a Sirius Radio channel... then go and try to play a song in my music folder... this will cause the sirius audio to be heard. Hopefully, these clues and with the help of the creator of this awesome plugin, we can get it working... I know I'm going to be asked to provide some kind of log files... but before then, I just want to get the attention of the person who made this plugin... I really dont want to have to revert back to the old slimserver version and respective sirius plugin. Can you please tell me how to get the correct logfile for softsqeeze? I dont have any issues with this plugin on the same machine as my SqueezeCenter machine. I really hope there's a possibility of getting this resolved soon.. I use this plugin at lot at work... used to anyway. I use a Slimserver client (SageTV's Slim Player), which is capable of showing artist, biography, Song Title and name. Which one of the three databases do you guys use? I noticed the default often stops updating; and, kind of unreliable (itsonsirus.com). The second one is even more unreliable (itson.siriusbackstage.com). okay, I copied the lame dll file in the bin subdirectory. In the slimserver web interface, go to server settings. Select 'File types' and under FILE FORMAT CONVERSION SETUP make sure the line which says File Format - Flac and Stream Format - mp3 is selected. Save this. Connect to SlimServer with Softsqueeze. Then go back to the web interface. Under Settings, click on player settings for your SoftSqueeze player (it might be listed by MAC or IP addresses). In the pulldown menu, select the Audio option. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Are you willing to pay for a Sirius Radio plug-in?
Hi Greg, you might have missed this in my post, but I dont have any issues playing back my mp3's and wma files with much, much greater bandwidth via the same conditions (Slimserver, SSH, Softsqueeze). However, I noticed that if I play FLAC audio it has the same problem. I already tried manually limited the bandwidth in Slimserver (even really low), but it didnt make a difference. There seems to be some kind of bug. However, I'm not sure if its in Slimserver or the Sirius plugin. GoCubs;225415 Wrote: I'm thinking it must be a bandwidth/SSH issue. The plugin basically simulates a user logging in, selecting a stream, and getting a URL for that stream. That URL is then handed over to the player or SlimServer (depending on your configuration) to stream. SlimServer then handles the stream the way it handles any other stream. If stuttering is taking place its probably your connection not being fast enough or maybe the SSH processing is slowing things down. -Greg -- mkanet mkanet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7965 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20621 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
