Thanks. I think using spaces for drives is not a good idea if you want to share via Samba and other methods. Create a folder on your external drive "squeezebox" then point LMS to this folder, I am not sure if this is the right one (/mnt/extdrive/squeezebox), you need to find out yourself what the right absolute path is. Then point the Samba server to the exactly same path, restart and you should be done... See below for an example, if it is not accessible via internet, you can use 0777 to ensure that there are write rights from every participating clients... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi- I'm back. Bought an Allo Boss 2 Player. Running LMS 8.2 on Windows 11. works fine. However I'm having a problem with Samba. I can see the usb share file on my mapped Z Drive, but not the media folders. I want to be able to add albums to the media files that LMS uses but I cannot. Here's what I typed in for Samba share. I saved it and saved the password: Name Path Comment Writeable Create Mode usbshare /media/usb Max2Play yes0775 File explorer gives me Max2Play as Z Drive then usb share them new folder (empty). LMS is pointed at /mnt/extdrive/Squeeze Box Library. How do I get to that folder on the Samba share? Thanks. Max2Play was updated recently, and one of the changes is: "Squeezeboxserver Nightly 8.0 now available to install". I assume this means it's been added to the drop down list, but I haven't had a chance to confirm. Stay safe. If they don't any new installers are going to be completely screwed if they try to update. I posted on the Max2Play forum as well but no response as yet. Judging from previous responses they seem to think that a new download image isn't necessary as any updates can be rolled out using their update system. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Decided to play today; rpi 4b (4gb) Downloaded and burned the image, powered the pi on and opened the m2p web gui. Ignored the update available and went straight to install Squeezebox server. When the install completed I opened a Terminal: This was the result of uname -a Code: Linux max2play 4.19.50-v7l+ #895 SMP Thu Jun 20 16:03:42 BST 2019 armv7l GNU/Linux I then ran sudo apt update Code: 218 packages can be upgraded. Run 'apt list --upgradable' to see them. and then sudo apt full-upgrade -y after the update I rebooted from the web gui. The pi did not come back up, I pulled the power and restarted , no result. I swapped sd card with a fresh image and this time applied the m2p update before installing Squeezebox server Code: Changelog V.2.51 17.10.2019 Jivelite Fullscreen toggle Bugfix Raspberry Settings Plugin now with 64Bit Kernel switch (from 32 Bit Kernel) in Max2Play Buster (newest Image) Fix for Shairtunes2 Plugin in LMS to install SSL Libraries Added apt update in Update Script for Max2Play-Buster Image to get latest package resources. Rebooted from the web gui and the pi did not boot (green led bwas blinking 4 times in a regular pattern). Any potential problems? Thanks. Hi changing your Library Drive (the one with all your music on ) is very simple . You will first need to put all of your music on your new SSD then literally unplug and remove your current HD and repalce it with your SSD in the same USB slot . Once this done you will need to go on to LMS and Settings then to the Basic page . You will see a line Media Folders and it should show the path to your old HD . Delete this and then add the path media/usb0/ (the name of your Library File) this is whatever you have named the folder mine is called Music Files. Once that is complete you then need to do a full scan and LMS will delete all of the old links to your previous HD and add the links from your new SSD . To be honest the above sounds much more complicated than it is and if you added your original HD yourself then you will be able to do this easily . Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Previously I had only been able to use Max2play as the LMS server due to my own lack of knowledge using the software. All of my audio players were PiCore loaded . While this worked fine I realised it was just laziness and stupidity on my part that was preventing me from changing all of this over to Max2play for both my server and players. I used a single player as the learning tool . This was a Raspberry Pi 3 + with a Just Boom Digi hat . So made up a new SD Card with the latest Max2play Download and then rebooted . A quick use of Advanced ISP Scanner identified the ISP for the new instance of Max2play then it was straight on to the start page pick the Just Boom version offered then tidy up things like naming the player (JustBoom) so it is easy to know which is the Server and which is the player . Change to Audio Card and everything worked. I have now one by one gone through all my players and added them under Max2play which makes things just a little easier . Everything works fine now and I prefer the GUI and options on Max2play as they seem more logical and obvious to me at least. Been running LMS on an RPi 4 4GB unit for over two months now and no issues at all very stable and quick with really fault free responses to track changes , sources and palyer switches. Hi bencat, Thanks for sharing. Do your players have different names? (Under Settings/Reboot) Also, what are the command line options in Squeezelite? hw:0/hw:1 enables hardware volume control and "-C 5" automatically closes the playback of Squeezelite after 5 seconds of inactivity. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Not sure if this is a set up issue on my part or a problem with the software . So I will just detail the issue and see if anyone else has had the same problem and if there is a simple issue . Just to start will detail my system and how it is set up LMS - Max2play Rpi4 Beta - Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Player - JustBoom Digi - Raspberry Pi 3+ Player - HiFiberry Digi Pro - Raspberry Pi 4 2GB Now in the past I have always used Max2play for LMS and then loaded the players with Picoreplayer and this has worked . Having only newly added the RPi 4 HiFiBerry player I decided to try out the Max2play install for HiFiBerry . Everything loaded and this unit will be used as a player only .Found the ISP got in to the Max2play set up pages and made the name changes so it was easy to identify . Started it up and found it in LMS started it playing a song mix but after about a minute the music stopped and the player was no longer visible . Rebooted LMS and Pi , rebooted player and the same thing happened. Did a complete clean install for the player but again the same thing kept happening. I then tried loading Max2play for the Raspberry Pi 3 + using the dedicated download and again usingin the install for JustBoom . Activated the player and the same thing happened with this player work and appear for about a minute then stop and the player lost from LMS . All my players are wired ethernet connected so it was not that internet was lost and even when they stopped I was able SHH into the players via Putty . As I was getting a little frustrated with this I loaded picoreplayer to both using the Beta 6.0 and 5.1 respectively . Both these work and they show up on LMS all the time . This solves my problems and if it stays this way will not cause me any issues . However it would be nice to have all the items using the same software . Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Okay have run the Beta Download for a few weeks now on my RPi 4 4GB and the results have been excellent to say the least a couple of minor hiccups which just needed a clean download none of which have ever happened again . The music sound fantastic and the stability and speed of LMS in this format is really very impressive . Using touch screen players , apps and remote inputs form a pc all work very slickly with an instant response . Only issue I was having which has nothing to do with Max2play was that my RPi 4 was running very hot . Even just idling it was at 70 and playing on a single player would push this to 72/74 . Now the point at which the CPU will throttle back is 80 and as far as I know this was never reached . The makers of the Pi are aware of the overheating issue and they issued a new firmware update which you can load using sudo - apt-get update sudo - apt-get dist-upgrade Via SSH using Putty . This did help a little and reduced the idle temperature to around 62 / 64 . Better but still a little too near the limit for me. I ordered a Flirc case in April and it arrived today . Lovely smart solid case with the main part an aluminium casting so strong and durable as well . Easy to install just applying a heat paste patch to the CPU chip case insert the plastic case bottom over the sd cardinput then drop the whole thing in and secure with four screws , even this practical idiot was able to complete with no problems . I then rebooted the Pi waited for it to come on line and checked the Settings / Reboot page and the temperature is now a stable 41 which is a huge drop and gives me real peace of mind that my Pi will always be working well within its specifications and performing just as it should. Okay the full rescan was a one off . Added a couple of CD's today and the normal just add the new media was working . LMS has worked in different systems in differnet rooms using Squeezelite through O2 Jogglers , Raspberry Pi with both Just Boom and HiFi Berry Hats and no issues . No drop outs no stops or pauses. Listened to hours of Random Mix , Song mix plus at least two hours of Six Music Live with no issues or problems . Thank you Heiner this has been one of the easiest switches I have made to date and the new Rpi 4 is fast and offers all the things you want for an LMS server and more . LMS has been working all day without missing a beat and really happy . One possible issue is that every time I add a couple of CD's and request LMS to read and copy just new files it seems to go through a full rescan . I have downlaoded the new BETA image today and installed it in a Rapsberry Pi 4 4GB unit . Download and flashing were all straight forward with no issues . Having found the ISP for the RPi 4 was able to open up the max2play inteface straight away . I would reccomend to all before going any further SSH in to the Raspberry Pi (root - pi - password - max2play) and cut and paste this to the action line sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y Even though I am sure Heiner has used the latest download he could there are often nightly updates and it always helps to have the very latest version of the os . Then using the max2play online page it is easy to mount your USB drive , install and activate LMS and then go in and set up your plugins and and changes to LMS that you favour. My Library is 50049 tracks and intial scan took just over 17 minutes which is a little faster than the Pi3 + but not a huge amount . After this it is all good so far music was playing within an instant once I hit play LMS is now much faster and smoother and more responsive. I may be mad but I also feel the sound has improved and sounds more stable and solid but that could be me fooling myself but I will take any sound improvement on music I can get .All things considered I must congratulate Heiner I am sure there will be issues but for the main thingh that I use this software for it has been a perfect performance up to now . Music is playing as I type this and has been just playing without issue for about an hour. I have used the following plu ins , Radio Paradise , BBC iPlayer Live Listen, Material Skin all without any issues and so far working as they should. I for one am delighted this has made the user perfomance of LMS as good as I always wanted it to be and there may well be inprovements in this as Heiner and others get to grips with all that the Pi 4 has to offer . :o System - Concordant Exhilirant Valve Pre , SBT Triode EDO,Toolbox 3.0 , Theta Data Basic II Transport , Perpetual Technology P-1a,P-3a,Anti Mode 2.0 Dual Core,Krell KSA50 MK 1 . bencat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=54878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hello Slimdevices Community, We just released a beta image based on the new Raspbian Buster release for the Raspberry Pi 4B models. You can 'download the free image' (https://www.max2play.com/en/max2play-image/) from our website right now. This new beta is compatible with all Raspberry Pis and the LMS 7.9 nightly. In connection with the new release, we also have a global update for all Max2Play Raspberry systems to Max2Play 2.50. For an overview of all the changes and improvements in this update, head to our 'Change Log' (https://www.max2play.com/en/changelog-max2play/). We appreciate all feedback on this new image, either here in this topic or in our 'Forums' announcement thread' (https://www.max2play.com/en/forums/topic/announce-new-max2play-image-for-raspberry-pi-4/). Indeed, we are working hard to have a new beta image out as soon as possible. The LMS in connection with 4GB model is also what we found most interesting for Max2Play. It seems to work really well. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Thank you for the update on the Pi 4 from what I heard the speed of delivery of this new model has caught out a number of regular users of software for the Pi as you were not given any warning or details and in many cases only got a new board to work with this week at the earliest . As with the others here who use your current download on a Raspberry Pi 3+ as a simple LMS with attached USB HD for my Library I want to hopefully see a quicker and smoother LMS from the new Pi 4 4GB unit but will be patient and see what can be done as the new CPU on the 4 appears to be very different . Hi everyone, First of all thank you for your continued support and interest in our project! Our current 2.49 image is indeed not compatible with the new Raspberry Pi 4B. As mentioned above, the new Raspbian Buster release is necessary for the 4B to boot. We are currently still evaluating the possibilities and challenges of the new Pi and will let you know right away, when there is a new beta release available based on Raspbian Buster. You can also hop over to our forums if you have any specific feedback or requests for the new Pi with Max2Play. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Think you might be dissapointed 1) All Rasbian OS are back compatible with previous Hardware ( I have tried running LMS and Squeezelite on Stretch on a rpi1B with cirruslogic dac. It did work but was painfully slow. piCorePlayer is much better in this instance imho. 2) Raspbian people advise a fresh install of Buster (I have it running on a rpi3B, without problem). Over on the raspberry pi forum some folk say that it is possible to update a Stretch OS and then edit two files (I'm not going to search out which ones) and replace the word Sretch with Buster, wherever it occurs. Apparently, this worked for some, going from Jessie to Stretch but is not recommended, or guaranteed to work. Hi MrKettle, If you have not yet posted it this issue in our forums and it still persists, please consider doing so. We can help you the fastest when you post in our forums and ask about further details the quickest. To start with, you can check which version of NFS your share uses and which one you have set in the mounting options. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
I am trying to get an existing Max2Play installation to talk to a Pi running OpenMediaVault and I can not get it to mount properly via nfs or cfs. The shared folder to use has been named Music on OMV with NFS, Samba and FTP shares enabled with the device being called PiOMV, using the nfs option to mount //piOMV/Music to /mnt/music supposedly gives the mount succeeding but with no folders or files visible. cifs using the standard user=name,password=pass,sec=ntlm,etc... as per the prompt below the mounting interface gives mount error(115). To answer the obvious questions, the shared folder shows up and can be mapped as a network drive on a Windows laptop, using an OMV drive is much more physically convenient for my setup and when we tried samba shares via Max2Play previously there was a fairly massive crash on the same laptop which required a complete restore which has put us off going down that route. Any clues where to start? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
I am using the Debian Stretch version of Max2Play. I noticed that my SD card usage was 72% and since the card is 16GB it seems high. So since I have the created a samba share for the card I looked at the contents. I was surprised by what I found. When I opened usr\bin I found a folder named X11 and a lot of files. When I opened the folder X11 I found another folder X11 and the same files. I could repeat this 40 times until I finally opened a folder X11 containing only files (147MB). All of these X11 folders contain 1134 files and 214MB except the last 4 which contain 1132 files/213MB, 1121 files/210MB, 1059 files/183MB and finally 917 files/147MB. Does this seem normal? slartibartfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35609 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi folks, I'm excited to share a new extensive article series with you! Mario, who has been our intern at Max2Play for the past few months, has written a very special series which deals with 3 exemplary zones in a budget-friendly multiroom system, one zone detailed in each article. The series is aimed at both HiFi beginners and audiophile veterans, because in each article there is are detailed step-by-step guides with instructions as well as helpful tips on our software and plugins for optimization. In the first article, you will find out everything about the project as a whole and the upcoming articles. We also explain the basics for building a multiroom system, including Raspberry Pi and sound cards. The next article will come out at the start of next week, so stay tuned ;) 'Part 1: Setting Up a Multiroom Audio System with Max2Play' (https://www.max2play.com/en/2019/01/step-by-step-multiroom-audio-setup-with-max2play/) Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Tony, Do you restart your system regularly and if so do you properly shut down the Pi before removing the power source? Most issues with longtime users' setups are connected to defective microSD cards. So if you have a second one where you could copy your system onto with our image burner plugin, you can test this. You can also check your console output when connected to a screen during booting, to see at which process your reboot sequence takes up this much time. Before the year closes out, we put together some new HowTo articles to give newcomers to Max2Play the chance to check out some of our more advanced features and plugins. We hope you can find the time during the holidays to check these applications and their usefulness in your audio setups. All these instructional articles are listed in our 'HowTo section on our website' (https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/#m2p-features) and are available in German and English. We recently tried to add new ones with features that are either hidden gems of the Max2Play system or have been popular for a long time but only detailed in our forums or somewhere else. I hope you enjoy them and can find something fresh to try out :) '*_API-Examples_* (free)' (https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/howto-use-http-requests-with-max2play/) -> Our new shortcut overview plugin that dynamically compiles major commands for Squeeze playback, Jivelite control, Kodi and the Max2Play system '*_MultiSqueeze_* (premium)' (https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/howto-additional-audio-outputs-with-multisqueeze/) -> Our popular Squeezelite creator plugin, select how many instances of Squeezelite you want to run and set your different audio outputs to them '*_Callblocker_plugin_* (free)' (https://www.max2play.com/en/how-tos/howto-call-blocker-with-tellows-and-max2play/) -> Based on the popular tellows Callblocker software, this plugin lets use your Pi to automatically block callers from a custom blacklist via VoIP to better manage harassment calls *_openHAB_Presence_Check_* (coming soon) -> add a presence check to an openHAB server binding for your smartphone to let your Squeezebox system automatically playback once you arrive in your local network and stop playing once you leave (currently working on it, will add the link once it's live) Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi slimdevices community, we need your feedback! We are currently working on a hardware control plugin, a compilation of easy-to-use software solutions for various popular control elements in Max2Play. We already have solutions for rotary encoders and infrared remotes in our current beta of the plugin. Additionally, plugin we have installed a new solution for smart remotes to be ideal Jivelite control bindings. Now we want to know what controls you want. What would you like to use to control your Max2Play devices? What is already working, or what have you gotten to work, in your setup and should be added? Does the smart remote solution from the JustBoom Plugin work with other plug & play remotes? (Please let us know in case you have one lying around) You can also find the Hardware Control Plugin beta link on the same topic. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi slimdevices forums! We recently published a new Instructable based on our head developer's Max2Play + LMS Setups in bath and bedroom. It includes different tips on setting up new multiroom zones with Max2Play and Squeezebox software as well as new info on using our free API-Examples plugin to quickly implement various commands and tasks like play, new song, etc. by copy-pasting from our web interface to a home automation system of your choice. 'Check it out on Instructables.com ' (https://www.instructables.com/id/Smart-Music-in-Bedroom-and-Bath-With-Raspberry-Pi-/) Here's an excerpt: 25837 -For the bedroom setup we built wooden boxes where our speakers would fit in. Then we cut out holes of the wall, which had the size of those boxes. Finally, we screwed the boxes tight into the wall. All hardware is still accessible through a revision opening. To control the speakers, you may use a smartphone app or connect the player with existing home automation buttons e.g. on the door of your bedroom. You could add a long button push to activate the sleep timer and a short push for Play/Pause. The Squeezebox Server, thanks to its open interface, offers many possibilities to configure any commands. Fitting HTTP and CLI commands can be found in our API-Examples plugin which is also preinstalled and can be activated free in our inactive Plugins section under Settings/Reboot. Example HTTP command for "start playing": http://SQUEEBOXSERVERIP:PORT/status.html?p0=play=MACADDRESS- +---+ |Filename: FSEH821JMYWTRTT.LARGE.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=25837| +---+ Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi guys, Perhaps this is a bit unnecessary for this community, as you are probably all already familiar with these plugins, but we recently published a blog article on some very useful third party plugins by mherger and philippe_44. Special thanks again for their (patient) support in helping me get the details right. We also added a quick step-by-step guide on adding them to the LMS for all our Max2Play users that might not have looked into the LMS settings yet due to Max2Play's one-click installer. I'd like to do more of these articles on different kinds of plugins and application fields for the Squeezebox system under Max2Play. So if you have any feedback, please let me know :) 'Here's the article (english version)' (https://www.max2play.com/en/2018/09/3-squeezebox-server-plugins-for-your-max2play/) Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi fahzz, Thanks for question. We support Spotify with two distinct solutions. MHerger's Spotty solution for LMS Spotify and the Spotify Connect player plugin for dedicated players. We also have a Google Music solution for the LMS that is installable from our web interface. Otherwise, the LMS solutions for other services should also work. We have users with Qobuz, TIDAL and Deezer plugins running on their Max2Play with Squeezebox, but we are not as familiar with these LMS solutions. As Max2Play uses the default LMS installation, all 3rd party plugins for these services should work as well. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
BLUETOOTH UPDATE: We just released a new beta with our Squeezebox Server Integration for Bluetooth added! It works just like the last versions integration, except a lot smoother than before and with a little less latency. Just make the beta update, install the Squeezebox Server Solution at the bottom of the Bluetooth menu, pair you phone or tablet and the Squeezebox Server on the device (must be on the same Pi) automatically starts audio playback from your paired bluetooth device and stops once you stop. Afterwards, it will also resume its current playlist or whatever you had playing on it. I tested today on a 3B+ and it worked great. Let us know what you think of the solution :) Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Yes we are using librespot for the Spotify Connect player, as well. However, the plugin is meant as an alternative for people who want to run a standalone player without Squeezebox system in the network. For all multiroom purposes we expressly recommend using only Spotty. But is there any chance they would be launched at the same time, eg. because the user didn't know (or ignored) the two different use cases? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

No, I don't have a 2.45 image, are you telling me that I need to download 2.45 and update it to 2.46 through the web interface, there's no actual 2.46 image? *Study/Server - LMS 7.9.1 -* Pi3B+/pCP 3.5.0/pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/jivelite, 25K library on WDMyCloud, cache and playlists on a USB stick (formatted ntfs). *Lounge* - Pi2/pCP 3.5.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3B/pCP 3.5.0 > HiFiBerry AMP+/retro radio *Garage* - Pi3B/Pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/pCP 3.5.0 > Edifier R980T *In car* - RPi3B/pCP in AP mode > HiFiBerry DAC+ > car's audio (files on a 2TB USB drive) *Spares* - 1xTouch, 1xSB3, 1xRadio, 1xBoom kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi kidstypike, You can just update through the web interface. If you already have the Stretch image 2.45, you can update from the same image. Hi guys, Just wanted to let you know that Version 2.46 of Max2Play is out now and with it also an expansion of the new bluealsa Bluetooth solution that accommodates Bluetooth input from Smartphone or Tablet. Head to the 'Changelog' (https://www.max2play.com/en/changelog-max2play/) for a detailed overview of the changes and improvements. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Max2Play 2.45, contains explicit instructions on how to install, setup and use the 2 Bluetooth methods, you're now telling me that the input method doesn't work? Fucking brilliant! *Study/Server - LMS 7.9.1 -* Pi3/Pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/piCorePlayer 3.5.0/jivelite, 25K library on WDMyCloud, cache and playlists on a USB stick (formatted ntfs). *Lounge* - Pi 2/Max2Play > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5 *Dining Room* - Pi3 > HiFiBerry AMP+/retro radio *Garage* - Pi3/Pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/piCorePlayer 3.5.0 > Edifier R980T *In car* - LMS 7.9.1 > RPi3/Max2Play > HiFiBerry DAC+ > car's hifi (files on a 2TB portable USB drive) *Spares* - 1xTouch, 1xSB3, 1xRadio, 1xBoom kidstypike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10436 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
slartibartfast: Thanks for the heads-up, we will try check this out. @kidstypike: As mentioned in the release, the new BT currently only works for output. If you prefer using an input method, we recommend using the Jessie version of Max2Play for now. Important: Bluetooth Input is not yet supported, we are working on it. Currently only works for Bluetooth speakers. To avoid further confusion, here are the changes in this new version: NEW LOGIN FOR SSH - Password for both pi and root is now max2play FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH RASPBERRY PI 3B+ - Important: You need the new Stretch Image to run the Raspberry Pi 3B+, our Jessie Image 2.44 does not work with this new Raspberry Pi. NEW BLUETOOTH PLUGIN - While it looks the same on the outside, within our Bluetooth Plugin a lot has changed. - We now use bluealsa which runs much better and reliably. - Important: Bluetooth Input is not yet supported, we are working on it. Currently only works for Bluetooth speakers. UPDATED PASSWORD PROTECTION SETUP - Now preinstalled and with more security options for root login and SSH NEW KODI - Newest Version for Raspberry Pi: Kodi 17.6-2 Krypton preinstalled SPEED IMPROVEMENTS! - Users have reported a 30% increase in speed when scanning their libraries. Overall, the image runs smoother and faster. NUMEROUS BUG FIXES THANKS TO OUR COMMUNITY *Various Security updates* Max2Play's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I can't get the "Stream to Squeezebox Server" part working. My phone is paired to max2play, pressed the "install bluetooth streaming for squeezebox server" button, and get "*No Bluetooth-Device is connected! Make sure to connect this first!*" every time. Nothing appears under favourites in LMS. Spent 2 hours on this, any suggestions? The installation details for the Jessie image are in this thread. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106958 I think someone in that thread experienced problems when trying to install on Stretch.
