Most run the full SBS server off of an existing computer or just put
together a used computer or even a NAS drive to run SBS.
Also search VortexBox in these forums for a simple, dedicated,
complete, and very inexpensive SBS server solution for a few hundred
bucks.

You can always use those ports for pictures and slide shows. Touch's
server need not be running for such Image Viewer tas

By chance does this happen when you recently switched your Touch from
MySqueezeBox.com to your local SBS server?
Several have reported this issue similar to yours, but seemed tied to
server switching as the cause.

I'd suggest an entire network reboot.
Unplug router, turn off computer, unplug SB player(s).
Bring them back up in that order, waiting for each device to completely
boot up before proceeding to the next device.

I'll let others comment on installing/using SqueezeBox Server on your
WHS machine.
But just so you are aware, you don't even need a computer to listen to
BBC Radio 2.
Your SqueezeBox player (Boom or Radio) can just connect to the free
MySqueezeBox.com server online.
Sure seems the issue is with the HomePlug if the Touch correctly
connects to the router when directly connected to the router.
Can you try a different device on the HomePlug to see if the problem
persists?

No idea on a timeline for a fix.

You can try the Touch > Settings > Advanced > Applets > Custom Clock
... for customizing such info displayed on the Now Playing screen.
I've never tried it myself, maybe such info cannot be displayed as you
desire, I dunno. Worth a try though.

I believe the SB3 and Touch PSU's are interchangeable. I've done so

Well, your Touch is a G series WiFi device, G tops out at 54mbps, and
seldom (if ever) actually reaches/uses 54mbps.
A typical music file in WAV format is probably using 1.5 mbps on the
high end. Lossless FLAC and Lossy MP3/WMA/AAC use far less mbp

- TinySC restarted fine
- all settings & screensavers maintained
In fact, I'd say the Firmware download & install portion itself was the
fastest I've experienced with my Touch.
i program does not show BOTH ch #'s and signal
strength of available networks then you may need a third party program
to see this info.
For Windows NetStumbler is the most common free program (no idea what
to use for a MAC computer).

I'd suspect that you may be running an older version of SBS that is not
compatible with your new Touch.
SBS 7.5.1 is the latest release version (not beta), I believe SBS 7.5.0
is the lowest Touch compatible version.
