Your mixer outputs are line level and your camera wants (the lower) mic level. http://www.peavey.com/assets/literature/manuals/00512000.pdf The Peavy manual shows 600 ohm outputs @ page 10. Doesn't look like the Peavy you purchased has an option for changing the output to mic level (as some do).
