Just watched the movie Airbuddies on DVD with my family and was surprised to
hear Don Knotts doing the voice of the dog Deputy Sniffer. He did a great
job--and what more perfect voice could you have for a deputy? Made me wonder
when he recorded it. Also made me wonder if there're

know that CBS evening news will be doing an Assignment America feature
on the Don Knotts statue

the character Barney Fife, but the Knotts' estate would have to approve a
likeness of Don Knotts, then perhaps the request should be to put up a statue

she and Barney bring Lydia over to meet Andy.
I don't understand why anyone would be opposed to a Don Knotts statue.
He deserves one dedicated. I wonder if Andy Griffith can help with this

of Barney Fife, the group didin't have the authority to give permission for

There are bargains to be had in many places but let's not forget that none of
us would be enjoying this forum or any of the other TAGS web sites if not for
the relentless efforts of Allan Newsome.

actually see a small snippet of Don doing his Turkey Lurkey character. Also
there was an alternate opening with Don reading a big part of the story. It is
kind of sad listening to it knowing he is no longer with

thought I'd pass on two Knotts items.

The schedule for this weekend's Tribute to Don Knotts on TVLand is

Seems they will be showing TAGS episodes, then some Three's Company,
then finishing the tribute late (into overnight) Sunday-Monday with

I have been reading and reading all the WBMUTBB emails about Don Knotts but
have not written anything until now. I can't think of any other famous person
who has died that brought tears to my eyes except Don Knotts. I was thrilled
to have seen him and Tim Conway do their comedy routine in 2002

only appropriate response I could think of was to salute him back. (I was home
by myself) As I stood in front of the TV, a small tear rolled down my cheek as
I looked at Don Knotts on the screen. I was fortunate enough to meet him
once at a show in Birmingham. It was a thrill

I don't know if anyone has mentioned the fact that Don Knotts has been
one of the feature voice characters for Max Lucado's children's video's
Hermie and friends. We own the recent Christmas edition 2005 where he
and Tim Conway are the voices for the two main characters, who happen to

When I heard of the passing of Don Knotts, I was watching the Olympics
on Saturday afternoon.
That night one of the local channels showed TAGS, 'Man in a Hurry'

away Sunday, Feb. 19, and now Don Knotts last Fridaymy sweet and
precious Dad even reminded me a bit of Don...both men small in stature,

Missing
I would like to pass along my own personal remembrance of Don Knotts. I
talked with him only once, at a large gathering in Nashville several years
ago, but I could sense that he was a kind and surprisingly shy man. I told
him that my great uncle was the late Joseph Hamilton, who portrayed a very

We just added a new porch to the front of our house and placed rocking
chairs out there yesterday.
This evening my 14 year-old son (a TAGS fan since age 2) and I are going to
honor Don Knotts/Barney by sitting out on the porch sipping cider while we
count cars.

Barnard O.M. Fife passed away April 19, 1965 episode #157 when Barn made his

Andy Griffith said I have lost a good friend, when told about Don's death. I
think all of us who are fans whether we have ever met him in person or not feel
the same way. There was that quality about the modest very talanted man that
lent itself to that feeling as we watched his appearance on

away, I wanted to write a brief tribute.
