MONTENEGRIN BLOCK PARTIES ABOUT MEETING OF EU DIPLOMACY CHIEFS
ANSWER BY THE END OF WEEK

PODGORICA- The official Montenegro is going to announce, by the end of
this week, its official attitude about the last suggestion of the
European Union (EU) High Representative Javier Solana regarding
redefinition of future relations between Montenegro and Serbia- the
ruling Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) said.

The DPS confirmed that the Montenegrin authorities had demanded
postponement of bringing out their final attitude because of
consultations on all levels.

The Liberal Alliance (LSCG) confirmed their attitude not to support
project of redefinition of current state and that there are going to
"stop supporting the Montenegrin government, in the case Montenegrin
President Milo Djukanovic accepts the EU suggestion".

DPS IS FOR INDEPENDENCE AND INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION OF MONTENEGRO

PODGORICA- The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has not change its
opinion about vital Montenegrin interests, such as independence,
international recognition and integration - Spokesperson of the ruling
DPS Igor Luksic said.

Integration must be founded on a new basis, with both Serbia and the
European Union (EU)- Luksic said, adding that Montenegro is entering
integration directly, without mediator.

If mutually accepted agreement will be reached between Montenegro and
Serbia, then Montenegro's need for the international recognition has to
be respected and this matter has to be agreed- Luksic concluded. 

On the other hand if such an agreement will not be reached, the
referendum in Montenegro is the only option- Luksic asserted.

PODGORICA - The OSCE President and Portugal Minister of Foreign Affairs
Zaime Gama is in official visit to Montenegro today, where he is going
to meet with Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, Premier Filip
Vujanovic, Assembly President Vesna Perovic and Chief of Montenegrin
Diplomacy Branko Lukovac.

The Montenegrin officials are going to talk with Gama about actual
political situation in the Republic and possible solutions, as the base
of the Montenegrin and Serbian future relations, where the OSCE has very
important role.

The OSCE is also taking an active part in the democratization process
and implementation of reforms in Montenegro, where it has been
implementing a number of projects of reforms' implementation in the
judiciary, local government and police areas.

MONTENEGRIN AND SERBIAN ASSEMBLIES HAS TO GIVE THEIR OPINIONS ABOUT EU

PODGORICA - If the European Union (EU) offers a concrete solution, at
the end of the Montenegrin-Serbian negotiations, the Montenegrin
Parliament has to give its opinion about the matter- Montenegrin
Assembly President Vesna Perovic said.

Perovic pointed out that the Serbian Assembly should have clear attitude
toward a final version of defining Montenegrin and Serbian relations.

Havijera Solane za uredjenje buducih odnosa Crne Gore i Srbije -
saopsteno je iz crnogorske vladajuce Demokratske partije socijalista
(DPS).

Iz DPS-a je potvrdjeno da je crnogorska vlast zatrazila odlaganje
iznosenja svog konacnog stava radi konsultacijama  na svim nivoima.

Iz Liberalnog saveza Crne Gore (LSCG)  ponovili su stav da nece dati
podrsku projektu redefinisanja postojece drzave i da ce "ukoliko
Predsjednik Crne Gore Milo Djukanovic prihvati predlog EU, uskratiti
podrsku Vladi Crne Gore".

Podgorica -  Demokratska partija socijalista (DPS) nije promijenila
misljenje o vitalnim crnogorskim interesima, a to su nezavisnost,
medjunarodno priznanje i integracije - izjavio je portparol te
crnogorske vladajuce stranke Igor Luksic.

Integracije moraju biti na sasvim novoj osnovi, i sa Srbijom i sa
Evropskom unijom (EU) - rekao je Luksic, dodajuci da ce Crna Gora u
integracije ulaziti direktno, bez posrednika.

Ukoliko izmedju CrneGore i Srbije dodje do obostrano prihvatljivog
sporazuma, on mora da uvazi potrebu Crne Gore za medjunarodnim
priznanjem, a na koji ce se nacin to postici stvar je dogovora - istakao
je Luksic.

Ukoliko pak, ne bude takvog rezultata razgovora, referednum u Crnoj Gori
je jedina realna opcija - ocijenio je Luksic.
