Squeezeplay is a red herring. It can be a pain to get going on Linux, but please remember that it is perpetual beta software, and now is kept around primarily as a tool for development, and is not intended for end-users. If end-users venture into that territory, they're on their own.
I don't know my way around Mint so there's not a whole lot I can suggest. Once upon a time SBS gave more information if it failed when trying to start it from a command line, but that doesn't seem to be the case these days. Unless you have other reasons for using Mint, what about switching to a more straightforward distro, such as Ubuntu or debian? Finally, note that VB is designed to hide all the Linux guts from the user. It's all dressed up in a custom GUI. Of course, the tradeoff is that then you are very dependent on the VB team to keep up with SBS updates. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90827 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
