There are no longer any other legal towns in D.C., though some of them

Cathy,
The only reason why you might not want to have 5 places for some USA
addresses and 4 for another is sorting.
In the master location list you have the option to sort the list in any
manner you'd like. However, you must have consistency. It will not be

before and that's why I was trying to force everything into 4

everything comes up perfectly
Actually you can edit the dictionaries. Go to C:\Legacy\Dictionaries (or
where ever you Legacy installed). Use a text editor (such as Notepad) and
you can edit the files that end with *.tlx*.

I didn't say anything about it being automatic.

You can use the method posted yesterday in answer to a similar question.
Use the Search tab and 'search and replace'
In the top box Find Where use the down arrow to find Lists-Location
Then type in your changes(Co in the upper box, County in the lower one) and
click Start, all locations using Co
You may want to replace Co, with County,. No quotes of course but I use
them here to clearly show the text. Also, select Match Case and Replace
only found text. This will be a lot more robust.

There is a checkbox to combine (or not combine) sources into one
paragraph when there is more than one source. You should uncheck
that box. It is in the Sources Tab of Report Options for each
report type (Descendant, Ancestor, Individual, etc.) and you have to
change each report separately.
Once you installed Legacy on the D: Drive the updates should know that
it is installed there and will update your D Drive version.
