Why wouldn’t it work? Again this feature has absolutely nothing to do with
operating system, Sound Card etc, its a Total Recorder Specific feature that
just captures the stream and saves it to a file in the format the stream is on
the Net, nothing more and nothing less.

Yep either that or ctrl-t, you can also use other commands such as jump
to time etc, there are a whole host of commands available.
Also the instructions I gave are for Total Recorder Professional edition

The inability to close total recorder is a uia bug which effects both
Window-eyes and nvda. Nothing can be done unless Microsoft fixes that

If your sound card has Stereo Mixor What you hear it is very easy, just
record what goes through your sound card.
If not, I believe you need the Pro version of Total Recorder, then go to

I think you are referring to Stereo Mix or What you hear, which was common
in Windows XP and in an attemp to control piracy, is missing in most
Windows 7 sound cards. You can get a similar effect and combine different
sound sources with Total Recorder Pro, it will allow you to mix
recording of late is in background.

Another thing to look out for, I think the editing features etc of Total
Recorder are only available in the Professional edition and above.
Also note that many of the extra recording functionality such as
Background Recording are not available in the Standard edition.

Yes Dane...I found that editing thing out the hard way! Tried to clip the
end off of a recording I had made (I only have the standard version) found
out it cannot be done with that version! Currently, for editing, I use MP3
Direct Cut! Now I have a question: if one has the video total recorder
I think we're at cross purposes! Fast wind or scan is not a problem.
What I'd like, but can't seem to find, is to play the file _slowly_,
maybe one-quarter speed or less, in either direction. Just as I would
when using an actual tape recorder, to find the exact edit point.

fine; recording streams and stuff. However I must have VOX turned on
because recording stops on quiet passages. Anyone know how to turn VOX off
and record everything? Thanks.

Rather than fiddling around I suggest your first port of call be the Total
Recorder web site, I’m willing to bet that this topic will be covered in one of
the FAQ sheets there.

Actually I just purchased Tapin Radio, at $15 you really can't see that
this purchase will break the bank plus I do like to support those
developers who sell good value for money software.

looking for a tutorial and just how many of those are
around.
On the other hand they can purchase a product like Total Recorder and there’s
the Tech support and knowledge base right in front of them.
