Heheh, Samus was pretty cool I suppose. Same concept, all kinds of cool powers and the like. I liked some of the metroid powers quite a bit, what I didn't really care for was that they were mostly gun based with the exception of things like jump boots or the sticky ball dealy you can rol up walls and the like with. Link had his fair share of cool powers as well.
