Hi there, Hope your Friday is going well so far? I must say its seems to have gone very quickly this week and I am ready for the weekend !!!! By the way its the Hull Show this weekend, I did say I would mention events before they happen and several people said I should give the Show a mention. It's on Saturday in East Park. Let's hope we can have some decent weather. Snow White's little helper will have the weekend forecast this evening as ever.
TONIGHT ======= As well as all the days news, I will be talking to Linda Nolan who is to star in Blood Brothers which is on it's way to Hull to the New Theatre. If you would like to go then I have two pairs of tickets to see the hit musical - if you can answer this question. In which British city is Blood Brothers set? Send answers to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] I am looking forward to seeing the show for the fourth time. Linda is playing Mrs Johnstone in the musical. I have also been reading about all the money that has been spent on refurbishing The New Theatre. TRUE STAR ========= Last night on the show we had Dionne Warwick. She is a huge star and she was a very lovely down to earth lady - even though she did say she couldnt live in Skegness, but I am sure that no one was offended!!!! My good friend Ruth went to see her last night and said she was great - and was on stage for an hour and a half. I think Ruth was quite taken by her son as well ! CAPS ==== Last night we had the story of 80 year old Jessie Smith who has been banned from her local for wearing a cap. We had a big response on this one with many people saying its crazy! I must admit I had not realised that the reason behind this is so the CCTV cameras can clearly see the faces of people. If there is an update on Jessie, we shall do it on the programme tonight. LIVE MUSIC ========== I am always on the look out for some live musicians and singers who live locally to appear on the show. Just recently we have had on the very talented Emma Rugg and also Hayley Hutchinson. If you know anyone you think would make a good guest, to sing or play live on the show, then get them to get in touch with me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] By the way, its the Cleethorpes Jazz festival this weekend -if you are going then enjoy. GUESTS ====== Dont forget if there is someone you would like to see on the show then let me know. I have had loads of suggestions but trust me getting Paul McCartney and Bryan Ferry on the show is not as easy as it sounds - but we are trying. PHOTOS ====== We are getting through the pictures that have been sent in. It is time that we had some more in. If youre a photographer and have a picture of a good view in our region and you'd like to se it on the TV, then get it to me. SURVEYS WE LIKE =============== Now when people from our region get back from holiday, we come back with more than just a tan. According to a new survey we also come back with a taste for more exotic food. The survey says that people in the region return willing to try more Mediterranean food. But apparently we're still traditionalists at heart and Sunday roast is still the all time favourite dish. I can't comment on any of this because I have not been on holiday for years and if it isn't in a microwave dish in the local shop, then I haven't had it. LL == If you are with friends or family at the weekend, then spread the LL word and if any of them would like a daily letter then direct them to the address at the bottom of the letter and get them to sign up. Well thats all - better get on, dont forget to send the entries to the Blood Brothers competition .. to be here by Tuesday please.
