Hi there Peter here,

Hope your Tuesday is going well! Before I forget I have another birthday to do.
Elaine Ainley has written to me wanting a mention in the LL it’s her birthday
today. Elaine said a mention in the letter would make her day!!!!! Well I won’t
comment but consider it done. Happy Birthday Elaine.

TONIGHT AT 6 30
==============
As well as all the days news I shall be talking to swimmer and television
personality Sharron Davies……tune in to find out why she is in the region at the
usual time of 6 30.
(By the way if you’re a magic fan then there will also be something of interest
tonight- I will say no more)

CAR STICKERS
=============
Again I followed a loyal Look North viewer to work with a car sticker in the
back of her snazzy blue sports number!!!!! Now that we have settled that we are
not changing anything and staying as LOOK NORTH…if you would like a car sticker
then drop me a line as soon as possible with a good sized SAE to BBC Queens
Gardens Hull HU1 3RH…….

GOOD NEWS
===========
At last in a survey Hull does well. The City is among the top 10 places to
visit in England according to a new tourism booklet. Hooray - I still haven't
forgiven that Phil Spencer off C4 and I’m really keen to get him on the hot
seat on the show……….We'll do it….although up to now its proven more difficult
that Bryan Ferry !

CAUGHT
=======
Parents who worry about their teenagers driving dangerously can monitor them
with a satellite tracking device. The £130 gadget detects risky manoeuvres and
sends a text to the driver’s mother or father. I think a similar gadget would
be good for Snow White’s little helper….a duff forecast and it automatically
texts the head of the weather centre.

SURVEYS WE LIKE
================
More men than ever are spending time in the kitchen (No-I'm not one of them )
Apparently many men see being able to cook as the way to a girl's heart-pasta
and Thai food are first date favourites but the survey found that when a boy
really wants to impress he'll do a full roast meal. But while men are busy
tying their pinnies the girls it seems have gone shopping!!! According to
another survey, women's spending power has doubled in the last twenty years.
And they're not afraid to spend that cash on themselves. The average woman
blows nearly two thousand pounds a year on going to restaurants and bars and
(surprise surprise) nearly a thousand pounds on shoes….

COMPUTER
==========
Paul laughed at me yesterday for spending most of my weekend playing on my
computer and then I switch on the TV last night and see him spending several
days chasing Storms…….I rest my case!!! I was reading about the number of
items we have bought which seem like a good idea at the time which now are
gathering dust and not used. The most redundant item is the sandwich toaster -
45 per cent of people who own them don’t use them. The second most useless item
is the bathroom scales followed by the coffee machine and foot spa. I remember
buying a bread maker and at the time vowed that this was the future making my
own lovely bread and never having to buy bread from the supermarket again. I
think I used it twice with the flour which came with it and it’s never been
used since!!!

BLUES BUSTERS
==============
An e mail this morning from Martin saying 'Would you give the Blues Busters a
mention in the Levy letter. This is a self-help support group for people with
depression. The idea is that people who have had the illness are more able to
understand and help than professionals. No professionals are allowed at our
meetings. We meet at the Goodwin Centre, Icehouse Road every Monday from 10pm
to 3 30pm.If you want to contact them you can on 01482 507699

GET IN TOUCH ANYTIME
====================
If you want to then drop me a line at [EMAIL PROTECTED] this will come directly
to me.

All the best join me at 6 3O as usual. BBC 1
