Well in that case, they should remove the ordering pages then and just let
us have it for free. I know it's free now like, but darn that was sure
confusing! Anyway, the games are now fully registered and I got as far as
level 6 let me tell you on Super Deekout!

Hi Chris,
Dan himself created a patch to unlock all of his games last May and
announced they were all going freeware so I can say for sure they are
all free.
Apparently Dan's web site is still up and if you look on the main page,
about half way down there is a notice that DanZ Games is closing and
there are patches for all of his games that turns them into ffully
registered versions.
My DanZ Games mirror page has all of the games and there patches as well.
So if anyone is actually selling the games they are ripping somebody
off, because they all went freeware about 6 months ago or so.

Re: [Audyssey] Dan Zinghero's games

2008-11-03 Thread Chris Hallsworth
Well I heard from a friend over MSN that this friend's going to take over
Dan's licences, therefore he'll have the right to sell the games. However,
he also stated that he plans to keep Super Deekout free. To be honest
though, I don't believe that since this friend I believe has some kind of
mental disorder, Aspergers syndrome or something, but that's for another
topic for another day for another list.

Hi,
Hmmm... Interesting because the last we heard from Dan he said he was
taking his web site down in June 2008. I guess he is maintaining the web
site so people can still download the games, but not producing anything
new. Either that or he is leaving it up in case he decides to get back
into the business at some point.

I really think that it is actually easier to just use Note Pad, HJ Pad or

and then edit it. As the monopolyboard.txt file has all of the original
monopoly square names and you can just change them to what you want them

Hi Lindsay,
Can you define what exciting and full of action means to you? It is
difficult to answer this question because exciting and full of action is
pretty subjective, and is pretty much defined by personal preference. That
said I do have a couple of suggestions.

One you might head over to my web site
http://www.usagames.us
and download Super Deecout produced by DanZ Games. It is a great little
time waister, and is now free once you apply the official unlock patch for
it.
Another free game I like that might meet your requirements is Dark
Destroyer. It is a modern day Space Invader clone and is also free. I
haven't yet managed to put the links up for it, but you can download it
direct from

http://www.usagames.us/downloads/games/pb-games/DD-Setup.exe
Other than that I can't think of any others off the top of my head that
meets your requirements. As you have realised most of the free games are
along the board, card, or Bop It lines. The really cool accessible action
games such as Shades of Doom, Tank Commander, Lone Wolf, Sarah, Packman,
etc cost cash.

Lindsay Cowell wrote:
Hi folks, I would like to apologise to any developers I might offend with

of action? I ask this as I am on a low income and would like to build up

4. It turns out to be a Gateway with 1 GB memory and too slow for Vista.
5. Go to Office Max who may have a 32-bit HP computer.
6. It turns out to be a 64 bit HP computer.
7. Go to Radio Shack who claims to have a HP Pavilion a6522f-b desktop PC
in stock.
8. It turns out that they can order it but do not have it in the store as
they only carry laptops.

9. Go to Aaron's Computer store who may have a 32-bit computer.
10. It turns out the store is closed on Sundays.
11. Go to Circuit City who claims to have a Compaq Presario SR5610F

12. It turns out that they only have one and it is a demonstrator model so
you will have to wait for an hour as they remove the Circuit City
software.

13. It only cost $280 so you go out to dinner.
14. When you return, it turns out that they removed the software from the
wrong computer.
15. Make sure they have the correct computer which turns out is not a

16. As the store is closing, and they do not have enough time to update

do not have one yet.

18. Curse all the way home.
19. Take tums to quell your upset stomach.
20. Pray tomorrow will not be as bad as today.

Hi Folks,
I have been promising people an update to the Sarah game for months.
I am planning a lot of changes, additions, and bug fixes.
However some of the bugs were caused by the old game engine itself.
Three weeks ago I got a new version of the engine from David Greenwood,
but when I tried it out, there were new bugs in the engine that David
would need to fix.

Then David went to get a new guide dog and will be back in a week.
This has delayed my working on the game.
While I was waiting, I started writing a novel based on Sarah's
experiences in the Hogwarts castle.
I am about half way through writing the story and will include it as a
separate text file in the next game patch.
I plan to send the first chapter to Audyssey magazine to be included in
the next issue.
As a teaser to changes and additions, I am adding some Peruvian darkness
powder, and a hand of glory.

I will also be adding a hedge maze next to the Quidditch pitch.
In the center of the maze Sarah will find a cup that will send her to
another place.

That's all I can tell you.
Phil

Hi Lisa,

I really think that it is actually easier to just use Note Pad, HJ Pad
or something like that to open the file

c:\program files\kitchensinc\monopolyboard.txt

and then edit it. As the monopolyboard.txt file has all of the
original monopoly square names and you can just change them to what
you want them to be. Of course you then need to save it with a
different name such as

c:\program files\kitchensinc\monopolyboardLisa.txt

 Hi,
Sorry, I don't think I made it clear in my previous post , (getting a bit
dsoft in the head in my old age), I try to be generous with folks that
have multiple computers, as I do myself, and it just isn't feasible to buy
a separate license for each, or really fair for that matter in my opinion,
so I allow an extra license for those with another computer, but you will
need to email me directly after purchase to receive it.
Also, I hope to have a new tournament started in the next couple of weeks
for all those that might be interested.

 Happy racing,

Re: [Audyssey] Landing the ship in Troopanum 2

2008-11-03 Thread Valiant8086

Hi.
nod hammer the up arrow key. When you start to go off center, immediately
tap the arrow key in the direction you need to go to get back to the center
once or twice. Don't wait till you get close to the edge and hold it. you'll
catch momentom and keep going till you bounce off the other wall and that
hurts. Only press the arrow key a couple of times to move back to the
center, and again do it as soon as you realize you're getting off center.
Don't stop hitting the up arrow key when you tap the left or right arrow
keys to move back to the center, and don't hold down the up arrow key. That
doesn't work you have to tap taptap.

Hi.
jfwapi.dll. You can generally find one of these in c:\windows\system32
this makes jaws talk, you also need comaudio.dll, also found there
generally. comaudio is used in miriani6 to play the sounds. If you want to
support window-eyes you need gwspeaks.dll, found on the gwmicro site.

Hi,

I'm a little confused at what your trying to get at.

Are you asking if you modify the soundpack in some way, will the previous
one be deleted? If you use win rar, that should be the case- win rar has a
nifty little extraction function, and if you make an sfx archive you'll be
good. It puts the miriani6 folder in a .exe file, and extracts it to monkey
term, or wherever you want it to go. Quite neat.

Well I'd really like a mud/moo you can do exploring, etc.
I don't want to mess with an rpg like holotrek because I am not going

Until I can get my char reroled in humanity moo or they fix the various
things that happen after death of the char then I really can't use it,
well I can but I obviously don't have any objects at all.
Miriani is just becomming bad, and I never stayed on it long enough to
really enjoy it, I hardly mastered it.
And the rest, slipgate legacy, etc seem to be offline or going offline.
One thing that was mentioned on the squidsoft community was a moo
called milkeyway 2306 or something, is this still opperating or is this

gone to.

I'd really like something that has a scifi feel to it, for casual play.
Also I wander what happened to star conquest there aparently is

I'm not going to spend hours and hours of my life playing but I need

Then well the squidsoft stuff has gone away and I really don't like
miriani. Slipgate legacy is shutting down, and humanity moo is still

space mud out there guys. maybe exploration etc. Or is this my lot. I
don't care for the standard hack and slash muds either.

Re: [Audyssey] Mach1 was exciting free games - are there such things?

2008-11-03 Thread Jim Kitchen

Hi Thomas,

Yes, I am working on making Mach 1 and Bop It into tts versions. Mach 1 is
going to take some time. I will maybe be able to use some of the original code
but not that much since it used the TegoSoft software to play the sounds and
that has features that DirectX does not. I also want to do the sounds of the
engine more like I did in Homer on a Harley with many sounds to make the engine
sound much more realistic rather than just one sound file like Mach 1. I do
figure that it is going to be another long project. I will probably put out
many versions. Like the first with only one track etc.

Thank you very much for saying how much you like Mach 1.

My steering wheel is a Logitech MOMO Racing. I really like it. You know it

So anyway, yes, I do plan for Mach 1 tts to have joystick support. Actually
not even sure that it will have keyboard support. I plan to write it for the
steering wheel joystick. If I can add keyboard support I will, but otherwise...

Hi.
So what moos are out there for scifi users.
I'm not going to spend hours and hours of my life playing but I need
something to waste the ocational hour or 2 when things are just
going nowhere. all the squidsoft stuff is gone, holotrek is a rpg and
I doubt I'll ever complete a bio, etc because I really will not play
that
 much.
Then well the squidsoft stuff has gone away and I really don't like
miriani. Slipgate legacy is shutting down, and humanity moo is still
in alpha and well not that I mean something by it but is there a good
space mud out there guys. maybe exploration etc. Or is this my lot. I
don't care for the standard hack and slash muds either.

Hi Matheus

My steering wheel is a Logitech MOMO Racing. I really like it. You know it
has a gas and brake peddle as well as a shifter knob and lots of buttons on the
steering wheel.

So anyway, yes, I do plan for Mach 1 tts to have joystick support. Actually
not even sure that it will have keyboard support. I plan to write it for the
steering wheel joystick. If I can add keyboard support I will, but otherwise...

Hi Lisa,

I really think that it is actually easier to just use Note Pad, HJ Pad or
something like that to open the file

c:\program files\kitchensinc\monopolyboard.txt

and then edit it. As the monopolyboard.txt file has all of the original
monopoly square names and you can just change them to what you want them to be.
Of course you then need to save it with a different name such as

c:\program files\kitchensinc\monopolyboardLisa.txt

Re: [Audyssey] Writing monopoly boards.

2008-11-03 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Jim,
The new Beatles Monopoly is a bit different from traditional Monopoly.
For instance, instead of houses and hotels you have listening parties
and concert halls. Instead of buying properties you are buying various
Beatles records like Sargent Pepper's Lonely hearts, Revolver, and the
Octopuses Garden. Personally, I don't think supplying just a board file
will really be true to the new Beatles game. It is not very triditional
in many respects.
I'm not sure wasn't Monopoly 8 suppose to let a person change tokens,
cards, etc? If so then it might be possible to make something close to
the original, but not exact.

Hi,
SoundRTS is real time strategy. I don't consider it an action game, and
is more based on real time strategy and planning than anything else.
Like I said his question was rather subjective. What you and I consider

thing, and not something that is concretely one way or the other.

[Audyssey] qhere the queens are - Re: A spacific chess question

2008-11-03 Thread Charles Rivard
According to the rules of chess, when you set up the initial position, your
queen is on it's own colored square. In other words, the white queen is on
a white square and the black queen is on a black square. As the lower
right-hand corner of the board is a white square for white, and the squares
are lettered A through H from left to right and from 1 through 8 from bottom
to top, this puts the white queen on square D1 and the black queen on D8.
This is where color matters. HTH

HTH

 Hi Ron,

To tell you the truth, I forget if my board is white or black raised and
which pieces are black or white. One board has the trays on the side for
captured pieces the other does not. So that board can be turned 90
degrees. But so any way I also always use the pin head pieces for my
opponent. So I do not see that it makes any difference which is black and
which is white. Either with the squares or pieces. Just so that you set
the pieces up correctly to start and never move any of them illegally.

2008-11-03 Thread constantine (on laptop)
21. Go to tigerdirect.ca, since you live in Canada, and order all the parts,
and build it yourself!

22. Find out one of the ram sticks are defective, and RMA it!
23. Finally get everything up and running. You look all day but you can't
find the windows cd.
24. Drive a mile and a half to buy a new copy of windows vista, which you
hate with a passion, only to find out the store in question only has a 64
bit version.

The ram thing is a true story, btw.

1. Spend a day calling all the computer stores in your area.
2. Bribe a friend to drive you to the ones who said they had a 32 bit

3. Start out at Best Buy who clamed to have a Compaq Presario SR5610F
Desktop PC.
4. It turns out to be a Gateway with 1 GB memory and too slow for Vista.
5. Go to Office Max who may have a 32-bit HP computer.
6. It turns out to be a 64 bit HP computer.
7. Go to Radio Shack who claims to have a HP Pavilion a6522f-b desktop PC

stock.

15. Make sure they have the correct computer which turns out is not a
demonstrator and costs $399.
16. As the store is closing, and they do not have enough time to update
the

software, wait 24 hours to pick it up.
17. Buy gas as you have now spent five hours shopping for a computer and
do

www.draconisentertainment.com sells the game, and you can download it as a
demo. I personally can't stand the game, but that might be because I'm just
hopeless at it. It just seems too similar to Shades of Doom or similar

Re: [Audyssey] Mush Client MSP

2008-11-03 Thread dark

Hi.

i'd personally love someone to do a basic tutorial about Vip mud, ---
something for complete Mud newbies. I tried it, but found things a litle
confusing to say the least, and I must say the manual wasn't great.

of course, this could just be me being an absolute thicko, but there are
really careful and great walkthroughs and reviews for audio games, even
complex ones like Sarah and Rail racer, so something similar for vip mud
would be great i think.

oh and yes, i heard the demo on blind cool Tech, but again, while it
showed up a bit about creating trigger or whatever, i would've liked
something more basic than that, - an intro to muds in general and vip
mud in particular.

Beware the Grue!

Dark.
