For almost a year, I couldn't get my technophobe wife to use the
Squeezebox either ... which was very frustrating for me, as my primary
objective when I purchased our Squeezeboxes and ripped all my CDs was
to get her to stop stacking hundreds of my CDs (sans the cases!) on the

It took my wife about 2 years to get comfortable with using SB3, mostly
from lack of trying. I think once my 9, 8 and 6 year-olds were well
adept at finding and playing music, she felt a little silly at not
being able to. My advice...borrow some known child and teach them in 10
minutes.

Actually it just came up again (before she stormed out), and one of the
things she mentioned was needing a radio upstairs so she can listen to
her music.

My $2,000 transporter failed a week after buying it. Now the browse
button does not work and it just says Now Playing... and never is
playing anything. Turning on and off didn't help... guess I have to
call customer support. But lets face it... SlimDevices have a lot to

In my house, the wife (me) is the techno-geek. My husband is resistant

can now receive internet radio on the SB3. My wife was instantly
overjoyed when I tuned in her favorite Bavarian radio station ... here
in California. I set it up on the favorits, and she listens regularly.
