down from 0-1500 and then after 1700 I am virtually deaf at 50db down.

no controller, WSJTX talks to K3 directly
using elecraft USB serial cable (from elecraft elivered Monday).
WSJTX cat control gets and sets frequency correclty on main vfo.
but I don't see anything happening on VFO B frequency when I select
3 K Hz.

(at this point you might want to exit and restart WSJTX to be sure the
setting were saved)
after restarting WSJTX
try clicking on some place in the watter rall and watch your VFO B move
around. this tells you it worked!

From what I understand I just tap span, dial in what I want, and then

but entering a call in N1MM, instead of
defaulting to 599 it defaults to 59 so somehow something is telling
the K3 its in SSB though the readout says data. All other bands OK.

it is not possible to store different settings in
the K3 for the rear or front connector.
My only option so far would be to store the setup in the PC and upload the
one I need. (not very handy)
But wouldn't it be handy to store it in the K3?

temperature, what is the max value that I should watch out for? I am getting up
to 41 C during casual operation.

I manually made Transmitter Gain calibration without error since K3Utility
calibration capability does not work with K3 with 60m disabled for Japan use.
Any thought on this problem?

sure would save wear and tare on the P3's usb port when plugging in and
out a memory stick and then back to the keyboard.

when in RTTY, both AFSK A and FSK D, it's a Dual Passband Filter
when in CW mode it acts like the single peak APF
