That's simply not true. Both Find Character Format and Find Character Tag have
been there as long as I can remember (at least 5.5 or 6). I'm looking at a 7.2

Hi Richard,
A framemaker engineer has reached out to me and we are currently in the
process of troubleshooting the problem. If we end up identifying what the
problem is and a workaround, I'll be sure to notify the list serve.

I'm not aware of a command that can do it, but you can create a
workspace that will do it with a click or two.

Great, Rick. Missed the announcement from Lynda.com (if there was one)
about FM10. Still no help with structured frame, however. :-(
Gentle ribbing: close-nit? Granted they may be nitpickers, but you
probably meant close-knit.

Hi everyone
We've found workarounds (yay). Basically, it looks like the files were too
complex for FM's liking. Two things to avoid:
1. multi-page tables with conditioned rows
2. a large amount of conditional text on the first page of a file, immediately
following an imported TOC inset.

Hi Roman
That's interesting. I did manually save the file as MIF.

Hi Steve...
It sounds like this file *is* an FM file. Try forcing a save to XML
(with a .ditamap extension) overwriting itself and you should be OK.
this happens when FM crashes and you say OK to the prompt to open the
recover file.

Hi Rebecca,
I had a similar problem 2-3 times with specific FM files. Usually, manually
saving the files as MIF and then manually saving them back as FM10 solved the
problem.

Hi Winfried
I'm embarrassed to admit I hadn't thought of that! But it didn't work.
I opened a blank file, imported all settings from our template, and pasted in
the contents of a sick file. It still crashed. I even went back to an old
template from before we started using build expressions,
